Practice doesn't start until noon. ;)

What time is it now?

Why are they streaming an empty track then?

To test the video feed? Anyway, looks clear and cars are on track. Bourdais is going to shake down Davison's car.

Brilliant, league 1 playoffs first, then Indy500. I'm gonna be so drunk by the time the race starts.

Is the live streaming geo blocked for anybody else? I watched on Monday from Germany, but now "not available due to rights issue"?

God bless my chromecast dongle, got the youtube streaming on the big TV! Some surprising people going fast at the moment as well. Kurt Busch looks like he is gonna be very handy on race day.

It's probably youtube's fault. Could also be Sport1 (who hold broadcast rights in Germany).

Must be youtube - pretty much everything there thats something official is blocked. Meh.

At least I can watch the race via Slingbox!

227 without the added boost? I'm feeling confident about the 230 if the weather stays decent.

However those top practice speeds are 99% set with the help of a tow.

Yes, but looking at qualifying speeds last year, the difference between the pole speed over 4 laps and the fastest lap on Fast Friday is less than 1 mph. I know weather and track conditions play a big part, but still...

Disappointing not to see more entrants.  "Bump Day" used to be dramatic - now it's a non-event)

The racing has been competitive this year and I hope that the stands are full (doubtful, but still hoping for a decent turn out).  Not surprised to see Busch in the top 10.  He's a pretty decent driver and an aggressive racer.  It will be interesting to see how he does in qualifying and the race.

I'm not surprised to see Kurt high up there either, but at the same time I feel like if he spins into the wall on lap 7 somehow it won't be surprising at all. Maybe that's unfair.

Indycar Racecontrol is doing some sort of experiment, at one point it's on livestream, then they switch to Ustream, the issue being that ustream doesnt start automatically, kinda detracts the usefullness of leaving it on beforehand and switch back when the action starts. Couldnt they do this sort of things during rainouts?

It is supposed to improve the next two days. Warmer (in the 60's) and no rain forecast.

It is supposed to get down to 38F overnight though.

And it is Indianapolis in May so the forecast is more art than science.

I used to love the UK forecast when they said conditions were "changeable".

And he'll find like in NASCAR, he isn't going to find a seat without money. Should he find said money, he could be pretty quick. I thought Kligerman was a quick driver. Reach a point in the junior ranks of NASCAR, that without running for Gibbs or Penske in Nationwide, was doomed to not have the results that gets a top Cup seat. Thought that his move to Swan was a good one, but the results just were not there (same with his teammate and equally quick Cole Whitt).

If Bryan Clauson can get one, I wouldn't rule out a sponsored drive for Kligerman just yet.

True. Heck, Kurt Busch never sat in a single seat race car outside a few media events until this week. And while Andretti Autosport is a top team, you cannot deny his speed.

Yeah it's quite a contrast to JV. Though Andretti have been strong at Indy in the DW12 era and Schmidt kind of a non-factor.
