If they don't, they will break the 20 years record of winning at least one race (since 1994)

I really doubt they will. I think Mercedes will win every race this year but if they don't then it will be Red Bull who break their dominance, not Ferrari.

I think it's since 1994.

'91-'92-'93 were their last winless years to date.

Mercedes has 1.5 sec in hand over RB who in turn have about 0.5 in hand over Ferrari

under normal circumstances no, that's not a gap that can be closed over a season

under abnormal circumstances they might get a chaotic race and sneak a win in

The reality is that as things stand, it is unlikely anybody other than Mercedes will win a race and even if someone else does by some miracle, it is surely Red Bull who will get the job done.

Reliability or bad luck for 4 cars is needed for us (Ferrari) to have a real chance IMO.

Mercedes have stretched their advantage over the weekend.

If they suck at aero in the past, they still have trump card on power track like monza, spa and canada...

right now they suck at both aero and power....i don't see a slight possibilities of that happen unless the team starting to make things happen....

Who knows. After 2011 Spanish Grand Prix, when they were lapped by Red Bull and McLaren, nobody would have said they will win this season. But they did.

So I think somehow they will win one race.

Thats easy!

No, because Red Bull will win on the Tracks where Merc wont be 1 & 2.

Good/bad results always stop during a course of the season at least at one race. One team never won all the races in the season, one driver never one 18 races in a row(not even 10) like some people say Hamilton will, in the last 19 years Ferrari always found a way to win, so I think it it will be like that this year as well.

Ferrari were *very* lucky to win races in 2005 and 2011. They might just find that bit of luck this year too and sneak one in.

Fred and Kimi are the two drivers to pounce if they do!

Well there is high possibility that Mercedes would go and win every darn race this year...

But I voted yes, cause its still possible....I would say the next race in Monaco will be one place where they might have a chance, but it ofcourse requires darn good qualifying lap by Kimi or Alonso and good start... cause if either of them managed to do that, then we know how hard it is to overtake in Monaco....though the way car behaved again in Barcelona, there is no chance for either Kimi or Alonso to pull off any miracles, but if they get the new updates to work, then there is slight chance.

I remember Ferrari being lightning fast at Imola 2005 and Silverstone 2011, somehow I cannot see such car performance at any time this season.

I think there's a reasonable chance they'll pick up a win late in the season, probably in the wet or in an otherwise non-straight forward race. They have two highly capable drivers, good reliability and supposedly a very good chassis. Just need quite a bit of luck.

Don't think they will. Even if there's a fluke race like Malaysia 2012, there will always be Mercedes of Red Bull in front.

Will *anybody* else win a race this year? Don't know why Ferrari are being singled out here.

Mercedes will have a 1-2 in every race unless something goes wrong with them. For anybody else to actually *win*, something will have to happen to both Mercedes cars.

I can't vote on the basis that the poll starter has not explicitly outlined all the potential variables related to the question. ;)

As things stand only with a lot of luck on their side. If anything happens to both Mercs then the Bulls will be first in line as they are comfortably the best of the chasing pack.

Doesn't look likely at the moment. Hell, I don't think that Mercedes will be beaten for pace all year, so it'll have to be extraordinary circumstances like at Monza in '88. I think perhaps it might take the Mercs to collide and whoever happens to be third to pick up the pieces. Ferrari have already shown that they can finish third but its going to take a significant step forwards for them to be able to do so on a regular basis, and even then they'd need luck to take a win.

Not even a slightest chance. Even if Mercedes had a failure, there's Red Bull to claim the leftovers.

I just can't see Ferrari not winning a race. I think the Mercedes dominance will diminish after Hungary. RBR will win some races, and Ferrari will be there for one, hopefully. Probably Alonso. Funny how Merc said that Ferrari was the team they fear most.

Voted no, sure they might luck into a win if something extraordinary happens like a big pileup at the start which causes the top teams to crash out (kinda hurts to say top teams and not being able to include Ferrari).

Little or nothing is pointing towards Ferrari being able to recoup themselves, for instance we've had a 3 week break and basically nothing new is being brought and whats new doesn't seem to work.

I couldn't even bring myself to watch the complete race, season is already over and I would be surprised if anyone except Mercedes wins a race this season.

Probably not.

Mercedes and Red Bull are more competitive and they would have to rely on heavy attrition (by current standards) and impecable strategy. It would take something like Canada 2008 with collisions and drivers spinning off.

If they Win it will be a massive fluke. It depends what happens with Canada upgrade. If they jump RBR on pace and Mercedes duo colliedes in their own battle, maybe they can luck into a win, but its very very unlikly at this point.

Mercedes say a lot of thinks - they were just teasing Ferrari. The only team they really fear is RB and rightly so. Ferrari is irrelevant

Ermm not, durring winter testing  we were the team they had eyes on since red bull had big engine issues.

Im not sure how they would even be in possition to tease Ferrari , it would be extreemly ignorant to that with one of the best F1 teams in history .

Rosberg and Hamilton will likely have 17-19 race wins between them this season unless there are dramatic changes in the pecking order. The one or two remaining races will go to someone else, more likely RB than Ferrari.

I wouldn't count on it.

In Spain, Mercedes drove almost 50 seconds clear of the Red Bull of Ricciardo, who in turn had a solid 30 seconds on Bottas in the Williams. Alonso was almost ten or so seconds down the road from the Finn.

If Mercedes doesn't win, Red Bull have to be the favourites to snatch the win. However, Alonso did finish 3rd before, so who knows.

But with either or both of the two Mercedes finishing? Not likely.

The same story was in 2011 also in Spain, despite that Alonso led the field till 18 lap yet by mid season Ferrari  upgraded F150th and the car was podium and occasionally win contender since Canada GP. Alonso beat Webber's Redbull for 2nd in Valencia 3 races after Spain, won next race in Silverstone with by far best pace on dried track, 2 weeks later Alonso was in connection for win in great triple battle Ham-Alo-Web in Germany, he finished 2nd.  Alonso's Ferrari was on Button's tail  in Japan GP, finished 2nd, 1s behind McLaren. Everything is possible, specially that this with new PU, where Ferrari struggle heavily, so if it will be solved F14T will be immediately faster (who knows how much, 1s maybe more) it's not only power deficit but mainly power delivery, Ferrari are sliding as hell (see GIF in F14T thread) if it will be solved with software updates, the car will be faster out of corners, better traction, better driveability, better tyre deg.

The car is set up for Gilles Villeneuve, I bet he could get a win out of it.

Not even a prime Schumacher* could have made up the deficit that Ferrari currently have to Mercedes and Red Bull.....unless extreme weather conditions permit like Malaysia 2001 or something crazy.

* How much was the gap between Williams and Ferrari in 1996?

Even though I'm kind of history fanatic this one of those occasions where I would say "History is bunk". Which element of history would suddenly propulse Ferrari to a win this year? And if so, why not McLaren or Williams? (not that I imagine them to win BTW)
