This is the full quote:

BBC Radio 5 live pit lane reporter Jennie Gow asks Lewis Hamilton: "Are you even more like Senna and Prost now? Hamilton replies: "Essentially."

Will you have to sit down and sort it out? Hamilton says: "I don't know if Senna and Prost sat down and talked it out. I quite like the way Senna dealt with it, so I'm going to take a page out of his book."

Ok, even though Lewis sounds like a bit of a tit with this Senna/Prost stuff, lets be fair, it was a bit of a loaded question. It happens quite a lot. It was a bit like the fuss made over Button and KMag. Im sure Jenson was asked if having an inexperienced team mate made development difficult and he just answered rather than just coming out with it out of the blue. Sounds like the reported was the first one to mention Senna/Prost. I know its the Journos job, but people always focus on the answer and not the question.

Hamilton with close to a decades experience in the sport should be wiser to journalist tactics. His unbelievable naivety is perilously close to becoming something else for me. With all the justification and understanding about what he suspects has happened, he should be wiser to know sometimes it better to keep things close to his chest. He really needs to learn a thing or two from Raikkonen in this regard.

Right now, the mismanagement of drivers is actually making this season much better than it would have been otherwise (which would be a PR win for Mercedes given their domination). I think Mercedes will let that continue until it comes to "physical" retribution on track.

Personally I do not see any mismanagement as of now. Let's see how it transpires though.

You seem obsess with Nicole. Lewis is the one who was begging her to get back together and did the impossible to get her back. You're being a misogynist for blaming her for everything. If anything, Lewis is the one to blame.

The Funny part for me is that the car doesnt wants to be out of control. he steers left the car goes left he steers right the car goes right. There is no sine that the car is breaking out untill the end.

funny how Rosberg who is seemingly in the wrong has been turned into a hamilton fault for him being angry with Qualy today.

interesting

yeah it was only a matter of time.those ppl would still be siding with nico,if lewis had of done what nico did.

Still, this should make tomorrow's race quite a bit more electric than might have been the case, eh?

I agree 100% he handled it badly. I was just pointing out that it can be easy to manipulate a driver into making a nice soundbite. I said in another post that Hamilton need to pick his bottom lip up off the ground. He's letting it mess with his head, which he does quite a lot. He should have gone into the press conf. with his head up and a smile and said something like "Nico got lucky, I was faster and should be on pole, but Nico lucked it. I'll just need to go out tomorrow and do what i've done the past 4 races and win". That would have maybe got inside Nico's head a bit.

That was indeed a funny part of it. The car just so good, refused to go out of control.

But, in the other hand, it showed how Nico was deliberately trying to go against his instincts - his mind and his body simply did not allow him to full accomplish what he wanted to.

I think Mercedes should make them do a photo shoot like Webber and Vettel were forced to do by Redbull after their coming together.

This is what I posted last night. How apt.

Lewis cannot stand disloyalty, because Lewis himself is as honest and loyal as they come. We saw at Monaco 2007 how he simply doesn't stand for any bull crap. He picks up on these things, he isn't dense. He doesn't reveal it to the media because there's no need, but he knows. He saw Button's love in with McLaren, he saw what happened at his two favourite tracks in 2011 and it bloody hurt him, fact fact fact. Remember the shot of him applauding Button's victory? Dude looked like he wanted to cry, you could see it in his eyes.... The only way to beat Lewis is when he feels betrayed, it's the only thing that gets him.

..but the euphoria surrounding Button that day must have deeply angered Hamilton after what happened. He would've felt a lonely guy in that garage.

This is very precarious.

Were they ever actually friends, in the real sense of the word? I doubt that any of these drivers are friends...they are ruthless competitors who are all out for themselves. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's wrong to resort to cheating.

Well, the data will show that the steering movements were somewhat different between the two laps.

I feel the only way to know if it was deliberate is to analyse every single flyer he has done entering that corner. Every line, braking point, speed carried etc. I doubt the stewards will do that.

Rosberg said

We’re not best friends, and we’re probably never going to be best friends just because it’s difficult in this industry, especially when you’re team-mates, fighting for wins. We get in well, we have a laugh, neutral, very competitive. We even have some heated exchanges, but then afterwards it gets back to normal. That's it.

Well, I guess that is over.

Thanks for re-writing history. Monaco 2007 was a rookie complaining to the media on team directives >>>>> from Dennis himself.  That's loyalty ?    That loyality had the
entire result of a Mclaren 1-2 put on the line at a hearing in Paris to explain "team orders" which were later cleared and there was not wrong doing.   How anyone can talk of
loyalty in regard to Hamilton and those events ...  unbelievable.

It suggests he knows it was deliberate, just like everyone else who works in F1 according to Ted.

Amazed people think he should be sweetness and light when his 'teammate' has deliberately shafted him.

Why can't Lewis continue to downplay his abilities like he has been doing successfully? Give Rosberg all the plaudits but keep running away with the actual championship battle. He should hold himself responsible for Rosberg's gamesmanship by goading the dude about his posh upbringing.

That part of the post, I was merely implying nothing escapes him in regards to teammate equality. If Merc favour Rosberg a la Vettel 2010, I fear it could have disastrous consequences on Hamilton's season.

My take on the whole monacogate....could have being delibrate could be a genuine mistake but looks more of the former than the later. What really screws Nico is that he had the effontery to celebrate pole. He shoukd get a penalty for that IMO. Whatever happens, I think Merc shoukd stop this rubbish of allowing them to race if you have two drivers and one of them beats the other everytime they both finish, then you dont need a sootsayer to know who to back. Nico has just devalued himself before me with that celebration. Even though I am a fan of Lewis, I have never been hateful of Nico but celebrating pole knowing quite well the circumstances is a bit cheap.
