Yeah but he is a WDC and all you are is just another keyboard on the web ask go figure. Hate him all you want, he is greater than you have ever been.

If he was, he wouldnt interprete the interview in such a one sided fashion. Remember the saying, great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, small minds discuss people.

Hmm.

Look, Lewis is just saying he's from the 'Hood and wants to make some paper. Nico was born to privilege. They are like Franklin Clinton and Jimmy de Santa.

Hmm.

He was not discussing Nico! He was asked a question to which he answered honestly and people are blowing a nerve here. I wonder what would have been the perception if he had responded "sorry I dont discuss people" some here would be calling for his exclusion from the WDC. Honestly, it is Nico that has made the most stupid comments this year and no thread has been started over anyone of them! Keep discussing Lewis all you small minds

My impression of Hamiltons comments since the start of the year are that they've focused on how he's struggled at every step (this just being the latest one). Although during qualifying/races he's obviously most concerned with Rosberg as his main (and only rival) I think his comments are actually aimed more at differentiating himself from Vettels title years. Both he and Alonso have spent the last few years disparaging Vettels achievements at every step basically saying that he only won because of Neweys all conquering car. Now with the most dominant car for ~20 years he's in danger of having those views turned on him, which means he has to frame the narrative of this year as him battling against the odds. Whether those battles are true are not is almost besides the point, the important point is that he's seen to be struggling and that it's not a cakewalk.

 I guess you prefer robot drivers with no passion, personalities and opinions of their own.

No, I just don't like drama queens and reality TV types.

Well as a Ham supporter I don´t like these kind of stats from him. He doesn´t need them!

I don´t like mind games because imo is a proof of weakness. The only way to "smash" Nico is to win, win and win and then he won´t need anything more.

I wonder if you felt equally disgusted about Vettel pretending to be sorry for the Multi21 thing at Malaysia last year only to say he would've done the very same thing and he felt like Mark didn't deserve to win during an interview at the very next race in China. Probably not.

Because THAT my friend, is pure negative reality TV crap. Plus Vettel was being dishonest at Malaysia, while Lewis was just being honest with his feelings.

All true.  I supported Vettel and I am disgusted with Lewis - and it was all the same kind of negative reality TV crap that I don't like.  However, Lewis is in control here - he has the option of not making the comments and raising the issue.  That is what I believe would be the best course of action.

Ham is a great talent, but he seems to have a little bit of a chip on his shoulder.

The comment was perhaps off the cuff, but I think sometimes it's better to either not say anything or keep from commenting on other drivers in a personal manner even when prompted.

Sometimes Lewis is his own worst enemy. Let your driving do the talking champ.

I'm curious. What else has he said that you consider wrong/disturbing?

did anyone say they found his comments disturbing or wrong ? there's a desire from some segments of the media to start a fight between the two of them and one gets the impression that Lewis is all too happy to play along. Just an observation.

Things getting frosty in there (post qualifying). Come on Lewis, you don't need this. Hope he gets it sorted with Nico.

Maybe it was just the munchies.

Lewis is a tad more talented than Nico, but thinks its to do with hunger.   (At least I think it is, well what do I know, just another arm chair critic)

If Lewis egged Rosberg on into an act of cheating, then that has to qualify as one of the most successful mind game moves pulled, and with a near immediate payoff at that.

If there is one driver whose words are worth ignoring right now, then Hamilton is your man.

I think Kimi is the only guy in F1 who comes from a relatively poor backround, he doesn't make a number out of it though.

Short memory.. As I recall, LH had his career underwritten by Mercedes and McLaren from his karting days and has never sat in a 'bad' racing car in his life, being placed and funded in the best car and team in every series up to F1, with many millions spent on him.

Not exactly a tough start compared to almost every other 'career' British driver I can think of....

Not a fan of mind games, particularly when they don't bear much scrutiny, so if I were Lewis I'd focus on the driving and not bother with the chat.....

I didn't hear the whole thing but Lewis was supported massively from a very young age by Mclaren, which paid his way into top teams in F3 and certainly GP2 before landing him in the best car in F1 for a couple of years...so he's hardly done a Mark Webber.

Lewis had to win every category in order to move on to the next/F1.

I got hold of the wrong end of the stick. I thought he'd missed his breakfast.

You have to read the article, I'm pretty sure hes saying that he is so poor that he can't afford breakfast. Maybe F1 should introduce a free breakfast program for these under privileged.

Lewis is going is abandon the mind games and waffling tomorrow and crash Parking Permit Needed Rosberg in to the wall first thing. Then dominate that kid for the rest of the season  he hopes.

He says in an Q&A on Twitter he was lead to believe in order to make him drive better so not necessarily but it sure did help

Well he never claimed to have 'done a Mark Webber' or that he didn't have McLaren/Mercedes backing. He referenced a different upbringing to Rosberg giving him a different hunger and killer instinct to Rosberg. Having McLaren/Mercedes backing isn't really the point.
