My 2 cents:

The rumours won't stop even if he releases the telemetry. If the telemetry shows that he braked 2m later than normal people will say somehting like "he deliberately braked 2m later". If the data show that the rear wheels locked up people on this forum will say he deliberately chose the wrong brake balance. Whatever he does, some people will never be convinced that he just made a mistake.

The only data missing in the telemtry is the data of what was going on in his mind.

2 metres is defendable. 10-15 metres is rather questionable.

I think Lewis might have played the Tweet Telemetry card too soon...

not if you're off the throttle (a bit or completely) much before... and if you're coasting to a corner. So unless you've seen telemetry, such absolute views about something which happens every race weekend is questionable in my opinion. Most drivers change their lines, braking distances constantly though a race weekend, but don't let facts stop you from arguing about it. Ahem, sometimes even the best make mistakes.

Can someone remind me what the Gatecrash verdict was based on? I'm sure telemetry was used, but wasn't the testimony of the driver the core of the case?

In other words, how reliable is telemetry in assessing intent on the driver's part?

For people who are convinced it was intentional, no amount of proof will change their minds. Besides, stewards already had a look at the telemetry and could find any reason to believe in was intentional. That should be enough for any non biased observer.

so after every decision the stewards have made in f1...you have always agreed with thier decision yeah.....because what you are saying is the stewards are %100 right all the time.

Not really, but if i have to side with someone, well, they do have more data. Unlike the posters on forums, for the most part they get it right.
