I just can't think who they could replace Kimi with that is better.  I can't see  top line drivers like Hamilton or Vettel really go to an under performing Ferrari within the next year or two, given the performance? Likewise would someone like Hulkenberg want to switch given the current dominance of the Merc engine.  Maybe Button will be a free agent next season but is he really any better than Kimi.

I think Ferrari are probably 'stuck' with Kimi for the next 2 to  3 years, in the same way Alonso is stuck with Ferrari at the moment.     These rumours may be just coming from the press or they may be from someone in Ferrari who is trying to stick a rocket up Kimi's bum?

Either way I think Ferrari need to suck it up and develop a better car/engine combo for next year, and Kimi needs to find a way to better deal with the dog turd he is driving this year.

Hulkenberg wouldn't even think about it, if you gave him the contract right now he would sign it without hesitation.

Bianchi, Bottas, Button, Grosjean, Hulkenberg, Perez - all of them can be considered at one point or another, if we are talking about filling Raikkonen's seat, with Alonso as team-mate.

If we consider that Alonso might just have had enough of the dodgy Ferrari years and might just want a clear shot at the title in another team - then the situation complicates even more for next season, with Raikkonen retained  and Vettel taken for Alonso in a clear swap? at the moment, things are not going that well for Vettel, so he might just consider such a move.

If he doesn't step up his game i could see him getting the boot. He is one of the oldest current drivers and ferrari needs to think about the future anyways. It was a short term solution that doesn't have much value left. I would love to see Hulk get the other seat next year. Come on Ferrari! Make it happen!

Looks fine to me. Making 20 mln a year - 2 years contract, nice girls around him, .he will  probably not die of starvation.  Maybe Ferrari wants to pay again 2x as much for him to not drive. Well have fun italians.

Well, that would probably match the efficiency of the many more milions spend on car development.
