Best driver: Hard to argue against the winner, Ricciardo.

Worst driver: Chilton. Takes out his team mate, then blames it on Bianchi when all replays seem to show that it was Chilton's fault. Clueless as per usual.

Best team: Force India

Best overtake: Ricciardo on Perez

Best moment: Hamilton retiring and Rosberg slowing, and the sudden realisation that someone other than Mercedes could win.

DRS+Tyres: Seemed about right.

9/10. I very rarely rate 10/10 for any race, but this was pretty damn good. At its absolute best, F1 delivers excitement that no other sport can match.

Fantastic race, and I didn't even think we were being 'sold' excitement.  The Mercs really had a problem and someone else really won.  Very happy for Ricciardo.

Best Driver - Nico Rosberg

Worst Driver - Kimi Raikkonen

Best Team - Red Bull

Best Overtake - Alonso on Bottas down at turn one (at least I think it was those two).

Best Moment - Ricciardo passing Rosberg. Tears were shed.

DRS + Tyres - Tyres seemed very good and DRS wasn't as broken as I expected, so I would give them maybe a 7/10.

10/10 from me, they don't get much more exciting than that.

I voted it a 9, but closer to an 8 than a 10. It was fantastically exciting but that was mainly because of the mad attrition issues going on rather than epic racecraft, barring a couple of moves. I think Bahrain was better overall purely because of the actual wheel to wheel racing all down the track, this was more about trains of cars before one or more went pop and shook it up again.

Best Driver- Ricciardo
Worst Driver- Chilton
Best Team- Force India, very nearly had a repeat of their Bahrain performance
Best Overtake- Ricciardo on Perez for how important that move was.
Best Moment- Mercedes double trouble
DRS + Tyres- Less DRS at Canada please. Renault engine cars found it near impossible to overtake on a straight, and Mercedes engine cars found it too easy.

Do you realize that without the spice of safety cars (Bahrein) or mechanical failures (Canada) the recipe is still not tasty, right?

Must agree with you sir. That was about chocked full of ingredients as you can get for a successful F1 recipe. Tasty stuff. Congrats to Mr. Ricciardo

You realise that we're rating the race yesterday, not the F1 package as a whole, right?

Best Driver - clearly Rosberg - even his fellow drivers were impressed at his holding onto 2nd without KERS and the other issues.

Worst Driver - Chilton

Best Car - Williams/RBR.  Merc was fastest, but unreliable so it was clearly not the best

Worst Car - Lotus/Sauber

Best Team - Force India

Worst Team -  WTF Red Bull and WTH Williams, tied

Best Overtake - Hamilton on Nico, while it lasted

Best Moment - The start

Worst Moment - Ted's Notebook and unable to find the remote

DRS + Tyres - good

Additional note: Here's hoping the 'expert' director gets a new job soon. The camera on the pit-exit missed all the cars going through turns 1 and 2, we saw enough generic blondes and nondescript hangers-on to last us through the whole season, and worst of all: reaction shots of the audience while the action was taking place. Also, what's up with having almost no useful information on lap times etc. while the Mercedes drivers were having their initial problems? Terrible effort.

well said, couldn't agree more. can't agree on him getting a new job, though. he deserves to be put away.

- best driver : a tie between ricciardo (brilliant race after a disappointing qualy) and rosberg (no mean feat getting as sick a car as that home).

- worst driver : was räikkonen even in the race? and massa again showed why he never was top drawer material. chilton blaming bianchi ... poor show max.

- best team : red bull. they were ready when mercedes stumbled.

- best overtake : ricciardo on perez. that pass and him getting out in front of vettel, won him the race. (would have loved to see button getting by alonso and hulkenburg.)

- best moment : idiots perez and massa getting out unharmed.

- drs and tyres : still not a fan of drs, but it probably would have been a procession without it. a bit disappointed that the difference between the two compounds wasn't bigger. i was expecting hulkenberg to make up ground on his supersofts later in the race.

very enjoyable race with a winner who didn't overdo his celebration (surpised by that).

Best moment for me was realising that Massa could win the race with around 12 laps to go.

Worst moment was when Massa crashed.

Both heart in the moment times.

The TV Director was noticeably crap all the way through.  We had cameras pulling up and away from the action on the track to people in the crowd all as part of a single shot.  I do think that it's good to see crowd reaction sometimes and it can add to the excitement, but not at the expense of on-track action.  What was he thinking?

Horner says there was one best overtake, Ricciardo on Perez around the outside going into corner 2. That move won him the race.

Rating: 8/10

Best Driver: Rosberg

Worst Driver: Chilton (although both Massa and Perez deserve honourable mentions for their brain fades at the end of the race)

Best Team(s): Williams/Force India

Best Overtake: Perez on Vettel

Best Moment: No injuries after Massa/Perez incident

DRS + Tyres:  DRS  .  Perez impressed with tyre management

Race notes: disappointed with a DRS overtaking for the win compounded by the yellow flag brought on by Massa/Perez tangle  .  Not taking anything away from Ricciardo but...   IMO, winning by a DRS advantage rings rather hollow for any driver.  DRS isn't racing, it's contrived and should be eliminated from the sport.

DRS + Tyres- Less DRS at Canada please. Renault engine cars found it near impossible to overtake on a straight, and Mercedes engine cars found it too easy.

Without DRS it's entirely probable Ricciardo wouldn't have gotten past Rosberg.  If he had it would have been fantastically exciting and, more legitimate as well.

equally important is the fact ricciardo got in front of vettel during the pitstops. but, unsurprisingly, horner will keep schtum about that.

Great city, great track, great race!

Best Driver - Ricciardo/Rosberg (tie) Daniel for putting himself in position to win, when The Mercs faultered/ Britney for bring it home in the points

Worst Driver - Massa - made some good moves, but should have known better when dealing with Perez

Best Team - Red Bull - 1st + 3rd

Best Moment - that payback move from Rosberg on Hammy on lap 1

Honourable Mention - Vettel's sportsmanship on the podium, nice

The worst moment for me was when there was an overtake in the hairpin and the camera guy just moved the focus off the overtake and showed the audience instead. My first thought was he fell asleep before reckognizing he deliberately filmed the audience. Poor. Also there were some overtakes we just haven't seen on TV not even as a replay.

BTW, i would recommend to use the helicopter camera at the start instead of the track-side cameras. The replay we saw filmed by the helicopter was brilliant. Why not show it live?

Best Driver - Ricciardo and Rosberg
Worst Driver - Chilton and Raikkonen
Best Team - Red Bull, but it could have been Force India
Best Overtake - Ricciardo on Perez I guess
Best Moment - Massa and Perez climbing out unhurt - it's unbelievable what these cars can take
DRS + Tyres - Overall not as influential as thought, so more or less OK

And the race in a sentence:  a thriller! About as good as Bahrain, in a different way.

Best Driver - Ricciardo (Would've been Perez if not for the incident)
Worst Driver - Chilton
Best Team - Force India
Best Overtake - Ricciardo on Perez
Best Moment - Mercedes melt down
DRS + Tyres - DRS wasn't too bad, tyres ok.

Best Driver - Rosberg, dragging that car to stay on the podium was amazing, but a special mention to Ricciardo and Button as well who also had great races!
Worst Driver - Chilton although Kimi had a pretty poor race as did the 2 Williams drivers - with the mercs wounded they had an amazing chance to win the race yet got no-where near in the end, disappointing in that car which looked very good round Canada.
Best Team - Red Bull - to get a double podium on a track that looked like being their worst with down-on-power Renault engine is a great result but special mention to Force India as they had great strategy to get their 2 drivers solidly at the top (and would have been 2nd if not for Checos brake problems 5 laps from end)
Best Overtake - Fernando on Bottas at turn 1 and Ricciardo overtaking Perez at the same place - both great moves.
Best Moment 1st win for Daniel and Jenson getting 4th, I totally missed the fact he had passed Alonso and Hulk so it was great to see his name come up over the finish line!
DRS + Tyres - DRS, too much round here, tyres too hard. (I'm being fussy - its still better than the cheese tyres of last year, DRS only needs 1 zone really)

And the race in a sentence...Great race  - gave it 9/10 - apart from the safety car laps I was gripped for start to finish - lots of battles (a shame the TV director missed most of them.)

Great race, too bad it was interrupted so many time in the USA by so many NBC ads. Hey Peacock you can't make your whole fee to Bernie back in one race!

There have been better Canadian GPs, but I really enjoyed this one. It was helped by the fact that both Mercedes were suffering towards the end of the race.

I am happy for Ricciardo winning, and am glad that Button got past some cars, opportunistically towards the end of the race.

A pity for Hamilton's race, though :(. Magnussen was kinda nowhere as well.

I was entertained thoroughly, though, and am glad the race is here to stay for the next decade. I will hopefully be there next year for some McLaren Honda action.
