Interesting statement from Alex Wurz:

Yes, track temperature is increasing, but it's not enough sun-eneregy that the tyres get enough temperature, so there will be also problems in qualy with tyre temperatures like in the FPs. Explicit he talked about Red Bull, he said they have big problems with them, Williams not. We will see...

Nice quote from him (Marko): "If it's a good sport, then it's a show and if you are winning, then it's a business."

It's fantastic we're finally seeing F1 cars drive in anger in Austria again. :)

Gotta say. I'm liking the infrastructure. I think Dietrich Mateschitz deserves the credit for reinvesting money in the region. Sure, he did stamp the RedBull name and logo on pretty much everything, but having a race in a place where people will attend and that provides a good race is more important to me.

T1 & T2 at this track are awesome. Simple, but the elevation changes and the kink before T2 make them quite tricky

I want to go to this race next season. €85 for a three day General Admission ticket at a track where the GA viewing looks sensational and not crowded? Take my money!

Amazing watching these drivers struggle to keep these cars on the track and right on the ragged edge  Exactly what we wanted when these rules were announced. Also amazing to watch drivers on the edge on a real racing track with high speed full commitment corners! Loving it!

Interesting, pretty much no sponsors at the track. I'm not sure how is it at other tracks, but this is first time I've noticed how little sponsors F1 has. Pirelli (official tyre supplier) has almost whole Sector 1, Rolex (official timing partner) has whole Sector 2, Fly Emirates has almost whole Sector 3, Allianz has S/F straight and UBS has two corners. So if you take out Pirelli and Rolex, who actually supply F1, you end up with 1 sector of sponsors!

I ThInk that Dietrich doesn't want too many sponsors around his track. His paying the bill out of his pockets for this race so he can do as he sees fit. Other races have more sponsors, but if you compare it to say NASCAR, then yes there are quite a few less

To me it looked like he had 2 wheels on the while line when Anthony showed a replay of the situation.

You're being awefully specific there.  What made you swing to a .263?  To be frank, a .277 is much much more realistic.

It could be that. But there are no Red Bull ads anywhere (except for the cars, obviously). Another possibility: with the decline of viewership, there is a decline of sponsorship?

I was actually gonna say .279 but 63 is my lucky number. :)

It does look rather nice doesn't it? I don't understand why you're not allowed in the infield though - that should make a GA ticket even better.

Alonso's lap time should be deleted, all 4 wheels off track on turn 8.

That's what they've been repeating all weekend, but there seems to be no movement in hat direction, yet. Let's wait and see.

It a very safe assumption to make. I have no doubts that sponsors are less interested in F1 right now that 4-5 years ago
