With all the discussion about tiers, lets get some figures up in here.

We'll take their last 2 seasons and the past 8 races as a form guide. Bold indicates they beat their teammate in that measurement.

Ricciardo

  • Avg. percentage of races finished in the points per year vs. teammates:

RIC - 2012: 6, 2013: 7, 2014: 6 - (2012: 30%, 2013: 37%, 2014: 75%)

JEV - 2012: 4, 2013: 3 - (2012: 20%, 2013: 16%)

VET - 2014: 5 - (2014: 62.5%)

  • No. of times finished ahead of teammate during race when both were classified (No. of DNFs in brackets):

RIC - 2012: 8 [1], 2013: 6 [3], 2014: 4 [2*]

JEV - 2012: 7 [4], 2013: 5 [5]

VET - 2014: 0 [3]

  • Avg. finishing position (excluding DNFs)

RIC - 2012: 12.05, 2013: 11.29, 2014: 3.83

JEV - 2012: 12.25, 2013: 12.23

VET - 2014: 4.2

Hulkenberg

  • Avg. percentage of races finished in the points per year vs. teammates:

HUL - 2012: 11, 2013: 10, 2014: 8 - (2012: 55%, 2013: 53%, 2014: 100%)

DIR - 2012: 9 (45%)

GUT - 2013: 1 (5%)

PER - 2014: 5 (62.5%)

  • No. of times finished ahead of teammate during race when both were classified (No. of DNFs in brackets):

HUL - 2012: 10 [1], 2013: 12 [2*], 2014: 3 [0]

DIR - 2012: 7 [2]

GUT - 2013: 3 [2]

PER - 2014: 3 [2]

  • Avg. finishing position (excluding DNFs)

HUL - 2012: 9.26, 2013: 10.06, 2014: 6.38

DIR - 2012: 11.00

What's the point of this? It only makes sense if we assume Gutierrez, Vergne and Räikkönen provide the same level of competition. Of course, Grosjean's statistics will be much weaker against two WDC teammates.

As will Rosberg, as he is against arguably the best driver on the grid. The stats are basically based on how good your teammate is and I'd have to say Lewis is better than Seb, Checo and Pastor but I do see what the OP is trying to do so I'm not criticizing him
