D-Type has a thread here http://forums.autosp...st-unread-post/ about the 'unread posts' black blob taking him to incorrect posts.

 

I personally haven't experienced that one, but I see lots of other people have. But I am finding the blobs are disappearing altogether for more and more threads. I.e. I will have been following a thread and next time I go to Racing Comments, the black blob has not turned to pale grey to indicate there are no new posts, the blob has gone completely as if the thread has never been opened. It's happening in both safari and opera. Anyone else getting this?

Not getting that Sophie, but I am getting pale grey blobs when posts have in fact been made.

Yeah, it's happening for me too, but I'm using Chrome.

The blobs either change to such a light grey that I can't see 'em or disappear altogether.

The "flower" symbol goes light grey but visible.

This is in Firefox, if that helps

 

Oh, and the business of taking one to an irrelevant point in a thread rather than first unread post is well established for me.

People say it happens in "photo-heavy" threads, but whilst that may well be true it is of no help at all - and actually with so many people quoting all the photos of a multi-photo post it can be quite hard to know where one is anyway!

Alan, it wasn't meant to be of help, but simply a recognition and further explanation of what happens.  I agree completely that it's totally useless if you click on the "go to latest post" icon and it takes you who knows where, but it's no where near the latest post.

 

Don't hold your breath waiting for it to be fixed.  I'd have asphyxiated long ago doing that for any of the reported problems.  Frankly they couldn't give a flying monkey's about fixing this stuff.
