This Mecum online catalogue for the Shelby Turbine Indy Car has some exquisite photography.
Should be of interest to at least one TNFer who gave a talk on the Lotus 56 recently

Agreed re the photography and a well-written story which at least doesn't seek to deny the variable annulus cheat (even if it conveniently ignores the despicable use by Carroll Shelby of Mike Spence's accident and not being confident in turbine safety as a reason to withdraw the cars).
But who would want to own a cheater car with no racing history?

Cheater or not. The car still looks sexy.

Had I the beans I would have little difficulty filling a warehouse or two with unraced competition cars, off the top of my head the Ferrari 312 Snowplough, '74 Ferrari 312 PB, Cosworth 4WD F1 car, Lotus 86, Lotus 88, Maki F101, Life .... there are more than enough of them and I'd love to be their keeper
