If this belongs in the technical forum then I am sorry! ;)

With the teams being allowed to send an unlimited amount of electricity from the MGU-H to the MGU-K, if I understand the rules correctly, is it possible if they could keep the turbo spooled that they could use up to the full 160BHP from the MGU-K for 100% of the lap? If it is possible could that be one of the Mercedes PU advantages? As surely the truck turbo people they have rumoured to have used would have helped them with this.

Also could this be one of the causes of the (over)heat problem that Mercedes have had/having?

Yes, but I don't believe Mercedes are able to provide the MGU-K unlimited power from the MGU-H, I think what they can do is supply more than the Ferrari and Renault units and for longer periods.

From what I understand Mercs advatage lies in being able to use the MGU-H directly to K to lager extent whenever H is delivering.
This because their systems blend better. Which i read as being able to cut ICE power better so the demand maches the total.

You then save valueble fuel to use at other times.

And lengthen the amount of time the energy stored in the battery can be used.

That was kind of my point, as it is doubtful they would want to be able to use the 160 BHP all the time, but if they can generate more than enough power to charge the MGU-E and drive the MGU-K its a win win, as they would require less fuel from the race start...

Or they can use the same fuel and go faster.

As I said its a win, win for them ;)  And the faster they go the more electrical power they generate... ;)
