Some of you may have seen Kimi trying out Lawn Mower racing or the article in Autosport.

If you wish to come watch it for yourself we will be holding a 12 Hour Race next month, full details on www.blmra.co.uk

Motorsport is Motorsport. Its not just about people in £100k+ cars dashing round a nice smooth race track or a world famous rally stage.

Ive asked before for a grass roots motorsport forum but it wasn't taken up. Its such an accessible sport, many of us manage to compete in many different ways. When you really look into it there loads out there but these forums just don't acknowledge or promote that fact in any way at all. Its a real shame.

no but seriously. I love what you people are doing. Your spirit, courage, and enthusiasm is what Motorsport is all about. May the racing gods smile upon you all.

I hope lawn mower racing won't go the same way as F1 and become overly concerned with "green" issues!?

I ask because I've sold out and finally given up on petrol mowers, in favour of a cordless battery powered thing made by Bosch. It wasn't cheap but I have to say that I don't miss faffing around with petrol and oil just to cut the grass.

And speaking of lawnmowers, who has seen "The Straight Story?" Cracking little film.

Anyway, that's about all I can say on the subject of lawnmowers other than good luck with your race, BLMRA.

This shit is fantastic. We should have a forums team. I say this having never raced a lawnmower before in my life, although I have used one.

Nitpicking, Should be Bingo instead of Touché . Touché is when the oposite side hits us with  sword or a good point in an argument.
