And it must be said a consummate car nut with a huge collection of desirable autos and bikes. He takes a very hands on approach to his cars.

An American talk show host with grey hair, a large chin and a high voice.. and a habit of shaking his head (like a bobblehead).

Shame on you for not know who he is.    :p

Conan O'Brien and Craig Ferguson are the best.

Johnny Carson for me, purely due to his exploits in the turbine car at Indy!

I like Letterman, don't hate on me. Conan is also good.

Conan O'Brien and Craig Ferguson are the best.

A Scottish host with a robot skeleton sidekick and a pantomime horse. It sounds like they were on acid during the first planning meeting. But somehow it works. And Craig is going to be missed when he leaves at the end of the year.

Nothing against Andy Richter, but Geoff Peterson is hilarious.

Such a shame that it's going to end at December 18th (or 19th?) this year.

Thanks for the heads-up, E.B.! As Johnny would say, "I did not know that."

Weird, wild, stuff! :)

LOL people are so much in the habit of arguing about drivers at this place that when it's talk show hosts, they do the same thing..

"Mine is the best.." "No mine".. "How about this one.. he's good"..

Does there need to be a best?  Why not enjoy them all?  Variety is the spice of life.

No problem, thanks for the footage!

And if a 135mph lap doesn't sound all that amazing to modern eyes, that was the year that Graham Hill broke the 170mph barrier for the first time. Not to mention the unusual driving style required with the turbine cars, and the fact that whilst Carson didn't prang the car, the pole winning driver did.

EDIT - Having listened to the clip properly, it says the run took place in late 67, I had always assumed it was early 68 (either in May itself or on the occasion Clark and Parnelli tested there in March), so the above paragraph is referencing the wrong year.

Yup. Leno had better material but Conan was funnier. Don't even get me started on Jimmy noob Fallon.

Who is Jay Leno? I think we have a nominee for the 2014 world living-under-a-rock champion!

In fairness these guys won't be well known at all outside America.
