If we get damp/mixed conditions I'd like to see an Alonso win.
you almost got your wish granted...

He didn't screwd it was the team.
Yes, therefore the use of the passive voice.

Easier said than done.
One can only hope...FA should have been 3rd, maybe even 4th here if they had properly judged the illegal advantage LH complained about. That would have been only 2 places to KR. But yeah, it was a weird race and we'll have to wait for a "normal" one to judge any true KR progress...

You saw a different race. We are talking about Hungarian F1 GP 2014

Poor call by Mercedes to Lewis to let Nico through.
Lewis totally justified in how he handled it.
I'm sure that if Nico had got alongside somewhere Lewis would have let him through but why on earth should he actually let him past on the straight in those circumstances?
I know they want to maximise constructor's points but the only certain effect of Lewis letting Nico through then would have been to increase the points gap between them.
Radio message should have been "Nico has to stop again so don't hold him up if tries to pass."
Can't imagine that will have helped relations within the team.

TOP SHELF DRIVES by the 3 podium finishers! To me, the race of the year, as having the top 3 (4?) so close together with just a few laps left was an absolute delight!!
Thank heavens we have this race to savor during the 3 week break.

Tough luck for Vettel to catch the turf and spin, but a good recovery drive - although unlucky with the first SC - but good finale holding off Bottas for 7th. Excellent drive from the pits for Hamilton to 3rd. Unlucky for Alonso, Rosberg and Vettel with that first safety car, but good recovery for Alonso and Rosberg. Lucky for Daniel and Massa to be at the point of the pit entry at the SC - Massa wasn't able to capitalize on it tho, Dan was. Great effort by Kimi from the rear to 6th - we didn't see much of it, but live timing showed a steady and sure progress and when we did see him, he was doing a great job defending his position or taking another. Too bad he had to let faster cars and those on a better strategy through, but that's racing. Bottas, was unlucky with the pitstop and unfortunately the car was kind of crap as even Massa with the luck of the pitstop was unable to do much with it. Finally a rather sad race for Daniil, who couldn't seem to get any kind of power from the car, while his teammate was able to do a better job. All in all a tricky race.

Poor driving imo.

Please remind me how many points they award a driver for a non-finish!Rosberg is far to conservative, leading the championship has made him a pussy.

I hope the same people who criticized Seb for not following team orders will criticize Lewis now.... and don't come with it was a different situation. Maybe it was but what Seb was criticized for is ignoring team orders... and ignoring team orders is ignoring team orders, so if you don't judge Lewis for it it's kinda hypocritical...
As for myself just like back when Multi 21 was a topic... I dislike team orders in general

Did anyone else notice Crofty inserting his little "... the tyres are giving up the ghost..." line? It's about the third race in a row he's done it. Obviously he must love the Ella Henderson song.

thoroughly enjoyable race.
Daniel Ricciardo ... awesome
Fernando Alonso ... sublime
Lewis hamilton ... a bit ruthless but kudos
kimi raikkonen ... positive result and showing progress
last few laps were on par with Abu Dhabi 2012 in terms of suspense. hungaroring rocks
The last laps reminded me of Monaco 2011, with Vettel, Alonso and Button nose-to-tail, before the red flag spoiled our fun.

It's now Mercs fault that Ham is simply inept?
Pit lane to 3rd, no doubt with you in the car it could have been a win.
If only we could get people off their fat arses from the sofa's we'd have a far better world championship ... Bernie take note ! ho ho.

very enjoyable race, it was so good in fact they should have handed out double points just for entertainments sake and get those germans back watching F1!
What do I know though, knowing Bernie he will probably hand out double points for the most boring race of the year.

I enjoyed this race. The last 15 laps were awesome to follow with Dan passing Alonso and Lewis. And the chaotic rain with crashes.
All in all, pretty enjoyobe for 2014.

There has always been a lot of negative feedback about Hungaroring (why is it still on the calendar, boring race, etc) but i have always liked the track and it produces interesting results and racing. So much for not being able to pass here.
Todays race was outstanding. How FA managed to hang on to those tires.....incredible. Kudos to Hammy for a historic performance. A large hats off to Daniel. He is certainly proving his worth. Nico should stop whining though.
Why would Lewis let him through? he was never close enough.
Thoroughly enjoyed this race and hope to see more like it for the rest of the season.
The only drawback is the sound of the cars. Kind of like a goose fart in a heavy fog. The GP2 cars scream more. (so do the Indy lights)
Gonna be a long break.

STFU why are both Mercedes drivers so whiny about penalties for others?
Embarrassing post, if you're fighting for the lead and a driver in front of you clearly gains an advantage then of course you're going to be unhappy.

Hungary is one of those places where DRS really does help and it makes me wish they always had DRS there. The problem is the other tracks, especially Monza coming up, where they won't even need it yet will use it anyway. If the move is done before they reach the braking zone, you know that it's too powerful or not needed.
But for a track like Hungary it proves really useful and enhances the racing a lot more. Agree it's a great track, a bit of rain makes it even better.

Completely. Saw an interview with Hamilton where he was following vettel. He said SEB was going further and further out on the Astro turf. Hamilton commented that there was no way he was going to dip a tyre out there and could see the spin coming. Goes to show how much more intelligent a driver ham is than vettel.Poor driving imo.

Ted learning italian for the radio
That gives me an idea: it would be fun if his Merc engineer started talking Italian to Nico Rosberg - after all he speaks six languages.......

I said it before: put a thin layer of oil on the astroturf and goodbye to off track penalties.
