Since it seems to be taking a while for this regular topic to show up, I'll do it this time around. :)

Us29XnP.jpg

As always, please rate the race objectively and not on your favourite drivers result!

Don't forget to also mention your ...

Best Driver:
Worst Driver:
Best Team:
Best Overtake:
Best Moment:
DRS + Tyres:

And the race in a sentence...

Best Driver: Alonso and Hamilton 10/10. Alonso in that Ferrari was super fast in the wet and held on well. Lewis from the pitlane and with a bad strategy call at the second stop. 9.9/10 Ricciardo!
Worst Driver: I don't care!
Best Team: Red Bull
Best Overtake: Lewis on Vergne
Best Moment: Last 20 laps
DRS + Tyres: Fine

Best race I've ever seen.

Best Driver: Alonso and Hamilton
Worst Driver: None in particular
Best Team: Ferrari for a remarkable 2nd place
Best Overtake: Lewis on Vergne
Best Moment: A lot to choose from, but those final few laps were incredibly tense in a hugely tense race in general
DRS + Tyres: Perfect

Race in a sentence: A real, old-school Grand Prix where it was tense, exciting and tactical from start to finish.

Rated it 7 - an enjoyable race.

Best Driver: Can't help but be impressed by Fernando Alonso. Holding on on those tyres, and making a couple of great and decisive moves earlier on in the race!
Worst Driver: Difficult to say. Some were very unimpressive, but the conditions being what they were at the start, the cars played a role in some of the crashes as well. It seems a bit harsh to give it to Hülkenberg for his failed overtake on his team-mate, but that looked like quite the dodgy move.
Best Team: Another tough one! Mercedes' car was still fantastic, but Red Bull gave Ricciardo the car and strategy to make the most of these conditions.
Best Overtake: A couple come to mind. I liked Ricciardo on Hamilton for pure entertainment value.
Best Moment: Alonso still leading a couple of laps from the finish. It wasn't to be, but second in front of both Mercedes cars is quite the achievement!
DRS + Tyres: DRS is what it is, the tyres are harder to judge given the conditions. Not too bad, but still not a fan. :p

And the race in a sentence: The safety car once again throws spanners into the works, to the detriment of the race but probably to the enjoyment of the viewing public.

Best Driver: Alonso, Danny Riccy a very close second!
Worst Driver: Ericsson. This guy is a waste of a seat.
Best Team: Red Bull. Slow on the straights? Rubbish!!
Best Overtake: Hamilton on Vergne, Ricciardo on Hamilton a close second. Dan doing to Ham what Ham did to Webber last year!
Best Moment: Danny Riccy's indefatigable grinning.

Rain and SCs turned this race from a potential snoozefest to one of the best this season. Also Hamilton from pit lane to podium, emulating Seb's feat at Abu Dhabi in 2012.

Best Driver: Ricciardo
Worst Driver: Grosjean (unless he had car problem) you just cant crash under safety car like that.
Best Team: Ferrari made great work off rather low positions
Best Overtake: Ricciardo on Lewis
Best Moment: Ricciardo taking the lead !
DRS + Tyres: Was awesome for once.

And the race in a sentence... was thrilling, exciting and only downsize is that there wasnt enough laps, would loved to watch more off it.

It's not going to get any better, so 10, yeah, there was a little of everything and a little for everybody.

Best driver: any of the first three, but I think LH.

Best team: RB

ANY overtake is a best overtake in Hungary, you choose

Best driver: Ricciardo. The only thing wider than his smile was the gap to his teammate.

Worst driver: Perez. Took out his teammate and then himself, taking the heat off of Crashtor Murdernado forgetting how to turn and Romain Grosjean forgetting how to straight.

Best team: Scuderia Alonso made a lot out of nothing.

Worst team: Mercedes for the rare double-whammy of using team orders to let the slower car through, and then getting a big fat NEIN! from the quicker one.

Best overtake: Ricciardo on Hamilton was killer. He showed he's not just a pretty face, or even one.

Best moment: Mercedes squabbling over 4th place with 25 laps to go, but I'm a sucker for inter-team drama. I hope they start throwing punches soon.

DRS + Tyres: Seemed to be just right for a change.

And the race in a sentence... as far as watching rich kids race souped up go karts at 8 in the morning goes, this was reasonably enjoyable.

Best Driver: Alonso and Daniel

Worst Driver: I didn't see anyone to make anything too stupid. Small minus to Ham pushing his teammate of the track

Best Team: RB

Worst Team: Williams

Best Overtake: Too many to choose from

Best Moment: Daniel taking the lead for the last time to win the race

DRS + Tyres. Ok

Worst Driver: Grosjean, probably. I mean, crashing after SC... :)
Best Team: Red Bull probably, but only because of Dan's win.
Best Overtake: Hamilton on the outside of Vergne
Best Moment: Vettel almost in the wall... An IMPOSSIBLE save.
DRS + Tyres: Quite OK

10/10. Best Hungarian GP I've ever seen.

Best Driver: While the easy choice is Ricciardo or Hamilton, I have to hand it to all four of the top guys. They all did exceptional today.
Worst Driver: Hulkenberg almost taking out his teammate looked just bad.
Best Team: I'm going to say Ferrari. Both of their drivers had their best finishes of the season thus far today. They have to be feeling good after today.
Best Overtake: There just too many that stood out, I can't single one out.
Best Moment: The last ten laps. Wow.
DRS + Tyres: They did their job.

Best Driver: Fernando Alonso. Second Ham and close by Ric and Kimi(6º)
Worst Driver: Daniil Kvyat  (bad weekend) and Bottas(the car is way better than 8º)

Best Team: Merc. but with that car is easy. Performance wise, Redbull
Best Overtake: Too many, and that is fun
Best Moment: A red car leading and fighting for winning

DRS + Tyres: No problems

Best Driver:  I can't name one driver - Ricciardo, Hamilton, Alonso all made it a fun race to watch
Worst Driver: Not sure about this one - whoever it was spun out from behind the safety car
Best Team: Probably Red Bull.  Merc blew it with team orders
Best Overtake: Hard to pick out one, but Lewis on Vergne - four corners, pulling him further and further out of position, or Ricciardo on Fred.
Best Moment: Lewis saying that he wouldn't let Nico through.
DRS + Tyres:  DRS not really much use here.  The tyres - the prime was dreadful.

If I were to try and sum up the race in a sentence, I'd use shedloads of semicolons; It combined the best - lots of action and strategy with the worst - what were McLaren smoking - and can I get some; if it makes you see rain showers when there are none, it's gotta be powerful

Are you serious? The team ruined his race with a bad pit stop, followed with a stupid strategy call of using the harder compund for no effect.

I'll give it a rare 10 - changing conditions, controversy, drama, different leaders, different strategies, not knowing who's going to win until the bitter end, lots of overtakes, spectacular crashes... what more do you want from f1?!

Best Driver: Fernando Alonso that car has no business fighting for the win. Holding off Hamilton like that, it was a stellar performancs by Alonso.
Worst Driver: I'm gonna give this one Hulk. Tagged his teammate, but I counted 3 errors, coming out of the pits he made a big mistake, he should have been behind button during the safety car period, then he made a second mistake on the restart that cost places to Vettel and Perez, and then he tagged his teammate. It was a shame, hecause he showed good pace, could well have been in for a shot at a top 6 finish.
Best Team: I'll give this to Ferrari, it was the right strategy call on race day that nearly scored them a win, they may have screwed up in qualifying but they got their act together for thr race.
Best Overtake: Hamilton on Vergne, around the outside pulling off a move his teammate had been unable to do for a dozen laps.
Best Moment: The end of the race with Ric, Ham, Alo, and Ros catching at over 3 seconds a lap.
DRS + Tyres: DRS barely made any impression, and tyres provided a decent mix of strategy.

Finally a race affected by rain!

Best Driver: 1st Alonso, 2nd Ricciardo, 3rd Hamilton

Worst Driver: Maldonado or Grosjean or Perez

Best Team: RBR

Best Overtake: Ricciardo verses Hamilton

Best Moment: Last 10 laps. Then the first 20 laps.

DRS & Tyres: It was wet, so yeah they did their thing.

The race: 10/10, would rewatch happily. Was pretty giddy watching it live.

Best Driver: Any of the top 3
Worst Driver: The FI guys
Best Team: Ferrari- strategy correct today
Best Overtake: Hamilton on Vergne, with a nod to Ricciardo on Hamilton too.
Best Moment: DR's final laps charge and Hamilton from pitlane to podium with a few adventures inbetween
DRS & Tyres- DRS not overpowered and tyres allowing drivers to race. What muppet ever thought we needed cheese tyres?

Race in a sentence: First 10/10 of the year.

Worst Driver: Grosjean. Difficult conditions or not, that was still behind the safety car.
Best Team: Ferrari or Red Bull
Best Overtake: Hamilton on Vergne
Best Moment: 3 way fight for the win

Excellent race.

Best driver: Ricciardo or Alonso. Like last week, while Hamilton's drive was good, it wasn't a surprise in a car that is so much quicker than anything else.

Worst driver: Grosjean. Crashing in racing conditions is one thing, crashing under safety car conditions is another...

Best team: Red Bull. Thought they'd messed the strategy up when Ricciardo pitted after the safety car, but seemed like they got it right.

Best overtake: Ricciardo on Hamilton

Best moment: Last few laps, not being able to tell who'd win between Alonso, Hamilton and Ricciardo until three laps to go.

9/10.

I feel mean to "only" award a 9, but Bahrain had more of a see-sawing slugfest for the lead, which is what a race needs to be a perfect (and very rare) 10 in my opinion.

Best Driver: Hamilton
Worst Driver: hmmm.... were the Marussias or Kvyat even there?
Best Team: Red Bull
Best Overtake: Hamilton on Vergne
Best Moment: Ricciardo taking the lead
DRS + Tyres: alright

Closing comments: proof that there's nothing wrong with F1. Forget changing the rules next year. If Ferrari and Renault had done a decent job, this season would be fantastic. This race had almost everything.

Best Driver: Alonso
Worst Driver: Sorry but quie disappointed by Vettel. I thoungh this time he'll beat Ricc bu it turned out to be exactly the opposite! SUperb drive by DR and quite low profile drive by Vettel, with no pace...
Best Team: RB/Ferrari
Best Overtake: Some, difficult to mntion one
Best Moment: Ric. overtaking Ham, he took the race there. Alonso had no chance against that car given the tyre conditions
DRS + Tyres: fine....
