I'll be looking to add Tarumã and Curitiba at RacingCircuits.info soon, but some early research has thrown up some question marks about the early layouts of both tracks.  History of Brazilian tracks is not too easy to track down for a non-Portuguese reader, so hopefully the collective here can fill in some blanks.

Curitiba

In Curitiba's case, I can see that there was an earlier version of the road course and that at one time a truer full oval course was available, which explains the remains of the original turn one that can be seen to this day.

Some sketchy online translations suggest that the original owner of the course closed it for competition in the mid 1970s, and it only reopened for competition again in 1988.  Is this correct (including the dates) and was this when the revised version of the road course was introduced?

Tarumã

This image suggests there was originally a much longer variant - if this is accurate when did this fall out of use?

There are faint traces of what could be parts of this layout on satellite imagery of the circuit today.
