Because we all love 4 weeks without F1 I thought I would trial a simple quiz for those who wish to test their memory (or Google searching skills). Hopefully the format of the quiz should prevent this from being too easy to search on Google or Wikipedia.

All you need to do is list all the teams a driver has driven for in chronological order in the chosen category of Motorsport (This doesn't just have to be F1). The person who guesses correctly then has the prize of setting the next driver to guess.

The quiz should follow the format below

Example:

Category: F1 Driver

Minardi,

Jaguar,

Williams,

Red Bull.

Answer: Mark Webber

The only rule I am going to set at the moment is that a driver must have driven for at least 3 teams in their given motorsport discipline otherwise I can see this being too hard. Aside from that - the more obscure the better!

N.B. If the quiz-setter hasn't responded and it's beyond reasonable doubt that a guess is correct then I'm happy for people to manage this themselves.

Yes that's fine DampMongoose. In future if there is a lull then the floor is open for anyone to post a challenge.

If Victor_RO wants to post one he still can

How do you classify drivers who drove for a privateer team? Should it be the chassis manufacturer or the name of the private team that's listed?

Best to clarify that now because I know it will become an issue.

Sounds like fun. Too bad I'm not all that hot on touring cars. I will try the next one.

I don't see why it should become an issue as long as the question removes any doubt.

I would go with the name that is listed, unless the name is a dead giveaway to the driver. Then I would list the chassis manufacturer marked with an asterisk (e.g. dallara*) - does that clear things up?

Graham Hill is the only one i can think of??? I know he drove one of the DP Aston's and obviously he won Le Mans with Matra, he had connections with Lola with F1 and I'm guessing he's driven a Cooper Monaco or similar?

Congrats!

That Lola entry was at the 1967 BOAC 500 partnered with Denny Hulme who retired before Jack could drive his stint.

Jack's last race win was the 1970 Paris 1000km race at Montlhery with a Matra Simca MS 660.

Over to you!

It's Brundle. But I think you're only meant to have one discipline in the teams aren't you?

Yes, I know it might seem pedantic but can we please stick to one category of racing in the interest of fairness and consistency.

Brundle also drove for several more F1 teams than were listed.

F1. Should be very easy. I will base it on factory location/base of the team.

1.Silverstone (Factory)

2. Enstone (Factory)

3. Maranello. (Factory)

4. Brackley. (Factory).

Well there you go Rob, I don't know, it was a guess. That's specifically why I wasn't sufficiently presumptuous to set a new one.
