I was in the process of reading a thread in TNF when I was redirected automatically to a web page for irfsoft dot com, which tried to entice me to download a file. Evidently, this is not the only place where this has happened, judging from a post on this forum: http://buzzle.ca/sho...d.php?tid=57203 . I did have very recent computer registry issues and one malware threat, so I don't know whether it's related to that or if it's a problem on your end.

The admin at that site has given pretty much the same answer as I as about to:

It's possible that there was a bad adsense ad, but I'm not sure.

We use AdSense for our remnant inventory as well (it's the product from Google, so it's pretty standard across the internet) so I can ask our Ad Ops team to take a look at this. If anyone spots anything like this again and they can see whether there are any suspicious ads running in any of the ad slots on the page, that would help our Ad Ops team track the campaign down and exclude it from the site in future.

If it's an issue on multiple sites, I would like to believe that AdSense would have fixed this themselves by now, but there's no harm in trying to block it ourselves as well.

Pretty sure I experienced this here a few days ago, but wrote it off as a bad advert from the provider. Seems to be everywhere at the moment.

Will take down some details if it happens again.

It has happened to me a few times (once today and twice yesterday) the last couple of days too.

It sends me to sites that are called  es.smshu.com

It happens to me in my tablet (Android)
