Maybe this is the cause of Kimi possibly losing some speed ? I'm sure a famous driver said something about losing some tenths when you become a father.

F1 is safer than normal road car these days so shouldn't matter.

But grats to the couple!

Congratulations to Kimi - although they were just denying this not too long ago, if Kuvaja confirms it, then it must be a go.

I guess Kimi took those Chinese fans seriously:

Awesome

Congrats to both. Unfortunately, I guess this means a retirement is on the cards sooner rather than later.

Kimi doesn't strike me as stay at home family guy. He is more of a go out and have a beer guy.

Kimi has said many times he loves childrens and wants to have family but not as long as he is driving in f1, he wont want them because he would spend too much time away from them....but there isnt much that you can do if your beloved one is pregnant:)Kimi will drive in f1 2015 but after that it most likely over.

Always possible, but many drivers have had kids and stayed racing. Grosjean just had one, I believe.

Anyways, congrats Kimster!

Kimi should be a good father as he's worked around many whiney children throughout his career...

Alain Prost and Michael Schumacher would dispute this claim. So would Mario Andretti.

Good news for him

Makes me wonder if he'll be around for next year though, given his previous comments on not wanting to start a family while he still has an F1 career.

I never thought he would become a father. I wish them all the best. Kimi should have a superb season next year then retiring and focusing totally on his family. He should have everything by that time: a girlfriend/wife, a kid, a friendly mum and brother, success in professional life and heap of money.

Interviewer:  "So, Kimi, you're about to be a father.  That must bring a whole rush of emotions and I can imagine you and your partner must be very excited.  Can you tell us about that?"

Kimi:  "Yes"

Congrats's to Kimi, being a father of 3 I know for sure his life will change a great deal.

Almost always for the better, (sometimes for the worse but usually only when they hit their teens   ;) )
