Danica is really making some progress this year. I am surprised and genuinely impressed.

I'll have to miss Mid-Ohio, 'cause you know, Saturday night and all. I'll have to go spoiler free tomorrow and wait for a rerun on Motors TV or get some torre... erm yea.

For some occult reason I don't like Michigan. Meh.

I remember watching those Indycar wreckfests in the 1980s at MIS - pole speed was 211 in 1984, not far from Cup cars today!

i think you missed some NASCAR news, another driver change is needed as R.Truex will miss the race due to a concussion therefore J.J Yeley will step in the 83 car, already at the back due to getting the spare car out anyway

Looks like Buescher has the field covered, despite being on old tyres...

Edit: and he's done it, on fumes.

It's scary as **** that those cars were that fast.

Chip Ganassi can relate, he survived one of the more spectacular wrecks with Al Unser Jr in that 1984 race.

It was awesome being in Eastern goddamn Europe and having the means to drink wine with a mate on our Saturday Wine Pilgrimage and see the race unfold through Nascar's bullshit livetiming (which is miles above that of F1, **** you autistic HAM fans). We are big Chase Elliott fans, but it seemed quite a fun race, I guess. 'them-europee-ans-and-ther-whine'. Being into *turnleft over here is more than a novelty, a statement... it is life, death, people's eternal 'sigh'. It is the Un-Mamola way of being for them, what a waste.

That being said - Tagliani:

omg, drunk posting on this forum (or any forum) is weird. I can't quite comprehend what my earlier drunk-self point I was trying to convey. Heh, my bad, but you lot don't mind.

Let me add an early-as-**** jinx ('cause the Moto2 race is boring like a cricket match) for Logano. The dude sucks.

Caught myself hoping that Larson would have the presence of mind to not sit in his car while it was on fire. As if he'd do anything else. Rule changes, eh? They rot the brain, or at least mine.

That slo-mo shot of the fire was pretty cool. Hoping for a new winner this race, but it doesn't seem that it will happen with Logano, Harvick and Gordon doing well. Meh, at least KyBu is in the shitter.

It was a solid race with some good racing late, especially the last two restarts. Even if Logano got by, I'm not so sure Gordon still wouldn't have won. He was the class of the field all weekend. They said post-race that was the same car he won at Indy with. So if he brings it to other tracks, it might be wise to go to your nearest sports book and put some money down.
