I can’t imagine how awful a player one must be to get sacked in this game, however.

True!

However, I can see the issue for those who play as Williams or Aston, if they try to play "hard", as it not using the unrealistic advantages in things, and then get the rule-change that only top 6 scores points. Especially Williams where the goal is to score points in 50% of the races in season 3.

So I'm WDC/WCC with Alpha Tauri and Red Bull (on a speedrun), got all the PS5 trophies and that's pretty much it for me I guess. There is actually very little replayability and far too easy. Has anyone actually managed to hit the budget cap?

I haven't touched it since 3rd Sep. Reading the latest patch reactions it doesn't really make me want to go back either.

Yeah, I don't think I've touched it for 3 weeks or so. I've only got up to Monaco season 1 too.

What makes me laugh is the threads on Steam and Reddit with feature requests for the patches, as if they are going to drop in things like sprint races (although I believe there is a mod for this), different engine manufacturers, contracts overhaul, etc., etc...they'll be lucky if they can get the simulation working correctly.

From the looks of it, the changes they have made to tyre wear seems to be directly connected to how much a driver is pushing and not tyre temp etc. It's so weird.

Or, not weird. It's just surprisingly that so much seems to be hard-coded and not somewhat simulated!
