I think Hamilton owes Rosberg a public apology for deliberately and falsely accusing him of crashing into him on purpose.

Even when I read the media titles, I knew how Rosberg's comments should be interpreted, and I thought the media simply wanted to create a headline story with it. However, since it are Hamilton's exact quotes, I believe he owes an apology for bringing Rosberg in such discredit.

I can't believe Hamilton after a long meeting misinterpreting Rosberg's comments in such a way. This is plain denigration imo.

And please leave the incident discussion in the other thread!

Since when do victims need to apologize to the offender?

please tell me this is a joke. :drunk: :stoned: "deliberately and falsely accusing him of crashing into him on purpose"??? Rosberg himself said he deliberately didnt avoid crashing into Hamilton. thats not falsely accusing him, but thats actually stating facts.

When the so-called 'victims' purposely lie about the so-called 'offenders' actions and intentions.

to me, hamilton was a tad out of line with this. "We just had a meeting about it and he basically said he did it on purpose," but i can understand his frustration so its cool, public apology is not needed. that incident was all on rosberg anyway.

Torn here.

I think he should not have brought this up at all, so yes he should apologize.

However, if this is indeed what Rosberg said and did, then he shouldn't.

But ultimately, this matter should not have made it past the meeting room, so yes he should apologize.

Hamilton's comment has already been refuted by the team

No, they weren't. At least, not directly. Wolff used PR-speak but still lays the blame on Rosberg, saying he could have taken avoiding action, but didn't.

In certain countries the rape victims need to apologize to the rapists.

No apology needed. Rosberg didn't apologise to Lewis, the team or anyone after the incident in the aftermath of the race. At least apologise to the team - it was unacceptable behaviour and as far as we can see Hamilton hasn't lied. Not backing out when you know there's going to be a collision is deliberately hitting someone in my opinion.

Well someone has to apologise. As it seems Rosberg is incapable of realising any wrong doing, and therefore subsequently issuing an apology, I'm afraid the onus is upon Hamilton to say sorry.

I'm being 100% sarcastic, of course. Apart from the bit about Rosberg. I meant that!

is this really worthy of its own thread? There are a million other threads on the incident and most people can't even agree if it was an accident or intentional, so you're just going to attract the same type of arguments and discussion here.

No he doesn't, because Lewis did nothing wrong and Rosberg is a sleekit wee muppet.

No, it would serve no purpose. These two guys are fighting for the F1 World Championship - let them do so on track.

Whatever happens or is said outside of the cars is only interesting for the soap opera element of it all. It's best not taken too seriously.

This is unfortunately what happens when you put two competitive team mates in the same stable. We knew it was coming.

Mercedes should have implemented a clear number 1 and number 2 driver like Red Bull or Ferrari have

looks like we live in a parallel universe. Rosberg shouldnt apologize to Hamilton for ruining the race of the race leader. No Hamilton should apologize to Rosberg for telling the truth. :drunk: :stoned: :rotfl:  :stoned: :drunk:

fans should be happy that there is tension between them, it makes the championship battle more exciting, like in the Prost-Senna (McLaren) or Piquet-Mansell (Williams '86-'87) era.

Rosberg deliberately ruined Hamilton's race, Hamilton just doesn't have that nasty streak in him.
