Crikey, what a sad day today is. Sad news, he gave loads to the sport, and he has played his own small (or sometimes much larger) part in the success of so many Northern and Southern Irish drivers, which is a nice legacy to have.

A real enthusiast and a very talented man. RIP

Another independent [I believe] race car constructor/ innovater has gone. I know very little of him but his cars were good things at times.

RIP.

As someone who put quite a few miles on a Crossle 30F and can thank his lucky stars for the robustness of the design, this news fills me with fond memories...and great sadness.

RIP, John.

I happened upon a 2017 edition of the BBC antiques programme 'Flog it' which came from the Ulster Transport Museum. About 16 minutes in their is a nicer 8 minute feature about John Crossle and his cars in which Paul Martin visits the Crossle house / factory and talks to John's widow. Some great archive footage is included, so well worth a watch;
