Ah! I had to look up MEFCO and assume it is an Antipodean outfit.

The Peter Mould I know is the son of Henry Mould who was MD of TVR/ His brother is a sometime poster on this forum/

MEFCO was English and was a team which ran a Lotus Elan and a Porsche 904 and 906 in the sixties.

Odd, I was very much around in the 60s and worked on a racing Elan but I don't remember MEFCO or Peter being involved in Elans or Porsches. I last remember him racing a 7.

In the 1960s Duckhams ran a series of adverts in Motor Sport featuring top teams and drivers on the national scene.  I have a March 1967 copy in front of me now showing the MEFCO transporter, Martin Hone, John Morris, Peter Mould, a road-going Alfa and a racing Porsche 904.

Slightly OT, but there are some interesting posts on this website, MEFCO, motor sport, music etc:

Is this the Peter Mould who raced C and D type Jaguars in the late 1950's?.

You can see why I asked "Which Peter Mould" Eric. I think that makes 3 so far.

Poor old Hse, asks an innocent question and ..........  Mon cher Sharman, two of the three Peter Moulds you refer to might be one and the same. The racingsportscar website has him racing Jaguars, as Eric remembers, and Elans and Porsches as Hse states: Coopers, Listers, E-Types and Abarths too.

http://www.racingspo...r-Mould-GB.html

You can see that on 17.4.65, he was at Oulton, racing an E-Type. Coincidentally, this page shows, at the same meeting, a Peter Moulds, with an 's', racing a Lotus 7. His entrant is Peter H. Moulds; the entrant for Jeff Edmonds (and the non-starting Peter Mould himself) is Peter Mould Ltd.. Presumably Peter Mould and Peter H. Moulds are two different people. (Henry of TVR is Moulds rather than Mould).

It looks as if Peter Moulds drove the Lotus 7 a few times in 1965, always at Oulton, according to the website.

Not sure whether I or my brother are the people you want. I am John, my brother is Peter. We both raced Lotus 7s in the sixties and our father was Henry Moulds,  a director of TVR 1958 to 1965. I have raced with the HSCC until now but am now retiring.

historicracer, thanks for your comment but I am trying to find relatives of Peter Mould who in 1951 bought an Emeryson 5oo single seater. He raced for a while and then moved onto sportscars, Lister Jaguars and Porsche 904`s and Lotus Elans.
