Gee i imagine a pretty tense team meeting after those quotes. Question is, if he did back off a little over say the last 5 laps does he hold up Chaz or get gobbled up? 

 

Chaz did the right thing with that splash and dash, I don't think Whincup could have held him up, maybe a podium, which he now graciously giftwrapped for Moffat and Percat. First thing Ronald Dane said when Whincup got out of the car, according to "Larko" was, "You won us many races, but now you lost us a big one!"
