Here's how Jules did over the weekend:

  1. He completed 56 practice laps. (guess range: 46 to 73 laps, average 61.75)
  2. He finished 19th in qualifying (guess range: 16th to 20th, average 18.50)
  3. He set a time that was 2.8 seconds slower than the fastest time in Q1 (1:49.440 vs. 1:46.685) (guess range: 2.1 s to 3.8 s, average 3.06 s)
  4. He finished the race in 16th place (guess range: 13th to 19th position, average 15.56)
  5. His fastest lap was 3.0 seconds slower than the best (1:53.538 vs 1:50.417) (guess range: 2.4 s to 3.6 s, average 2.99 s)
  6. He entered the pit lane three times (guess range: 2 to 3, average 2.06)

Collectively we were pretty much spot-on in the first five questions, and, yeah, M2000-5 outsmarted the rest of us again with his pit stop strategy. :well:

Here are the points deductions for this round as usual:

  1. 0.715 points/lap
  2. 4.622 points/position
  3. 10.90 points/second
  4. 3.184 points/position
  5. 15.86 points/second
  6. 18.67 points/entry

And here are the results:

After reviewing the results (a few players had incorrectly been given 0 points for question 4. Damn you Excel!!!   ) it looks like M2000-5 has won, followed 2aron second place and Makarias in third.

Hi all!

Nice to become the pit stop expert!!!

Though I seem to be puzzled to get zero for question 4. I guessed that Jules would finish the race in 17th place which is one position off his actual result. I suppose I should get 17 points for that, right? The same as wattoroos got for his 17th place guess. I suppose this applies also to the others who got a 0 (Makarias , scheivlak, kismet and Brawn BGP 001).

Mat

Hi Mat!

Thanks for pointing that out. There seems to be something very funny going on in that part of my Excel file. When I try to sort the results from largest to smallest, it just throws the rows around seemingly at random and, which I didn't notice earlier, it also changes some of the results. Copying the results to another part of the document and then sorting works just fine though. Excel magic....
