Lewis is in Lewis league

That's a league below Rosberg, Nico looking like he's running more downforce as well good for tomorrow then.

Lewis a little soft spoken in the PC

He's devastated, no answers for it.

Vettel basically confirming he's going to Ferrari without admitting he's going to Ferrari.

Hamilton's status as a qualifying king was built around having Button has his teammate, Rosberg is the quicker driver.

Good...so Lewis can show the Button inside him.

Can't believe i said it. :rotfl:

Going by your logic, Lewis just tonked rosberg in Monza and Singspore ;)

Who's winning in the qualifying stats? Rosberg has owned Lewis on the so called drivers circuit.

Simply a beatiful lap from Rosberg. Fair play, congrats.

Hamilton doesn't look bothered. Is he simply just in good spirits or has he gone towards adjusting for the wet? (....but he's been quicker in the speed trap I think, so that doesn't really fit.)

Bottas third, and Williams third and fourth is totally as expected.

Alonso whoops Räikkönen. What happened with the set-up breakthrough? I've seen mentions of a compromised PU, but surely not to the tune of eight tenths.

Ricciardo hasn't really looked quicker on merit, it's just that Vettel made small mistakes on each lap. ....was my impression atleast. Sixth on the grid is good, so well done.

Magnussen beats Button again. Not ideal for Button, but if the race goes ahead as planned tomorrow, the tables will be turned, I'm sure.

Ericsson deserves a mention today - well done! I was impressed by that.

Sorry but anyone who thinks Rosberg is the better driver should go watch another sport

Discounting the two Hamilton didn't compete in and Rosberg parking it in Monaco?

Great job by Nico today, Hamilton obviously did himself no favors by binning it in third practice, that and the lock ups cost him any shot.  Very upfront and honest in the PC though, nicely done.  Brilliant by Alonso and Ricciardo, Ferrari look like the dumbest bunch on the grid right about now.

Who's winning the race stats? You know, the one that matters? Well done to Rosberg, he looked good yesterday too.

I'm sure Rosberg was quicker than Lewis on the only lap the completed in Monaco or I could be wrong.

great lap by nico. suzuka suits his driving style better. Lewis has never been able to stand out here, similarly to spa for the same reasons.

I said Rosberg is the quicker driver, I admit though he's not as complete. Still for me qualifying speed is more impressive than being more fuel efficient or better at preserving tyres, this is just my opinion.

I'm not arguing against that, when Lewis had Button as a teammate he was touted as being the quickest over one lap because he was always the one challenging the Redbulls. I'm just pointing out that Rosberg is quicker over on lap.

Which isn't actually true.  But hey ho, whatever floats your boat and all that ; Lewis hasn't done himself that many favors this year for sure.

Right, then he parked it to make it stay that way while Lewis was going quicker behind him.  That's called "cheating" my friend.

That always looked like Rosberg pole. Lewis just didn't look happy in the car. Maybe his crash put him off but well done rosberg. I hope we get some racing tomorrow.

Go and have a look at the sector times and come back to me, Hamilton was slower than Rosberg's pole time through sector one.

What made you come to that conclusion? The lockups didn't cost him anytime at all, he made the apex.

By using the qualifying stats, forgetting that Hamilton's brake exploded, engine caught fire and was subjected to whatever it was that happened in Monaco. For what it's worth, I agree Rosberg was faster today. I don't think Hamilton's lockups cost him anything either.

Interestingly "Lewis as qualifying expert" was formed mainly when racing with Alonso- prior to F1 he was known as a more exceptional racer than qualifier

Well I think we can forgive Seb a couple of errors today :D  Dan did a great job qualifying in 6th as did Bottas in 3rd and Massa   in 4th!  Alonso has to be congratulated on 5th for Ferrari - but they may just be faster than the Bulls - everyone seems to be except the Macs.  But race is tomorrow and so let's see how we go!

Nico was awesome, but Lewis was as well - he wasn't feeling it - happens now and again.
