Having seen the circuit Sophie looks like Valencia on the Caspian. I'm certain the "racing" will reflect that. More worrying is the preponderance of Tilke inspired circuits shoe horned into the calender. I suppose it's a reflection of the economic climate; If one has to pay $60 millions for the race you're not going to want to spend 4 times that on building a permanent road coarse.

The hosts could use a third party engineering firm for track design but then would have to risk going up against the FIA red tape on things like approvals, certifications etc which is not the case if you pay the appropriate dues to the monopoly triumvirate of Bernie/FIA/Tilke Engineering.
