On that matter, it was announced over the PA that the Mallala Easter Historic Meeting will be replaced next year by a meeting at Anzac
with no racing before noon on Anzac day but continuing into twilight with racing under lights.
The Sunday appears to be all day.
The VHRR news forum has a post by Annie dated 25th September 2014.
There will be no Collingrove or Speedweek in 2015, concentrating on the October Hillclimb,
& the two day Adelaide Motorsport Festival which will be moved to October / November.
Yes, evidently another state stole the SA date. Twilight on Anzac Day could be very cold. Or wet! The Murray Bridge Speedway classic was rained out several times on Anzac day. Though some other years were ok too. Always cold at night though!
Though ofcourse the open wheel categories will all run in the day and the closed cars in the dark.
Long weekends though seem not to be good. Many competitors were away for the Easter break, and probably Anzac too.
Not sure of the answer. Interstaters are though more likely to come on a long weekend,, at least in theory.
I do know there is a lack of enthusiasm in general for the sport. As was discussed on the Easter Mallala thread.
