I thought it very noticeable that Hamilton snubbed Putin in the drivers room post race, busying himself with sorting his mullet and finding the right cap. It was only when Bernie nodded at him to shake putins hand that he eventually got around to doing so. It was all a bit awkward for the Russian pm and he flicked a couple of glances at Lewis after the initial snub. It was also strange to see Bernie so prominent after the race, he usually disappears quick smart unless. Is suspect he was on hand in case of just such an occurrence.

I think Lewis handed a very definite snub to the Russian president, being as smart as he is, he could never openly diss the Russian leader so decided to make him wait, pretending to sort his hair out, find the right cap etc before eventually being ordered by herr Bernie to press the flesh...ah who am I kidding.

I'm one of hamiltons biggest fans, I really wish I could say that hand on heart it was a very subtle snub of Putin and a comment on Russia's expansionist policy...however, despite the fact he used the word 'synergy' in it's proper context, Lewis is a little dim and I can't help feeling that perhaps he didn't know who Putin was and was genuinely more interested in making sure his hair looked alright and that he was wearing the right cap...bless him.

Pretty sure he was just doing what he normally does after a race, after all, why was Putin even in that room to begin with? They've just done 300+ kilometres at hundreds of miles per hour on average, and they're supposed to care that some guy is in the room with them?

I mean it with absolute affection and respect. Lewis is my favorite driver, but the weekend he had come out with some dal gems, my favorite was 'I thought it would be cold here, theres always snow in James bond'. Perhaps he's having a laugh and is playing on our expectations of jim, perhaps he genuinely wanted to snub Putin, I really don't know, I guess ghosts what makes him so entertaining, the man is a bit of a loon. Albeit the an incredibly fast loon...

I noticed this as well with regard to Putin, he did seem to ignore him but I think Lewis prefers to sort out his hair at the end of a race. Lewis is more interested in his hair after a race, anyway what is up with his hair, he should just shave it off.  

 

On another note did you see him during the track parade with the big Gold Chain round his neck.

I think it was just a case of, Crash Helmet on and a row of fairly ordinary looking individuals, in white shirts.

 

At that moment, Putin could have been one of any number of Charlie Whiting/Bernie Ecclestone's post-race staff/colleagues.

I suspect that if it was Obama in the room, Lewis would have spotted him and shook his hand immediately. I don't think he snubbed him, I genuinely don't think he clocked him at all which is a little bit odd considering that you'd think they'd all be aware of the politics with regard to Russia at the moment. If he wasn't made aware if the sensitivity of he situation then their pr team is doing a shocking job. I also only bring this up because it is being reported in some circles that Hamilton snubbed Putin, I'm not just dreaming all this up!

Or.... or..... .wait for it.... he genuinely didn't see him, what with crash helmet and all and facing the wall to get weighed, nor perhaps would he be expecting a dignitary to be present in that room. Plus, I think he was more busy trying to avoid Nico.

Easy to see what happened. Either Lewis didn't realise he was there or he wasn't sure what the protocol was, so he went to get weighed and then moved to the back of the room.. probably to look for some sort of signal that yes he should go up and shake his hand, which he did. The entire room seemed on edge to be fair.. understandable that Lewis perhaps wasn't sure what to do.
