Racecar-engineering calls it "Supply chain issues". If true it does sound like possible money issues

I'm a bit concerned after that Caterblock launch. Marussia have even less resources.

I see that their trucks were in the paddock today... all white rather than the red and black of previous years. A shift in livery or just saving a few bob on painting the lorries?

Well, with the Force Indias being primarily black now, we could really use a couple white cars on the grid. Some blue and red trim would be nice.I see that their trucks were in the paddock today... all white rather than the red and black of previous years. A shift in livery or just saving a few bob on painting the lorries?

The trucks always have been white, i have never seen a red/black Marussia truck, or dit i mist something? Also when it was Virgin racing, the trucks were white.

Marussia on its way tweeted by a person from Barcelona. Not sure if they'll make it in time for today, doubt it.

Marussia twitter:

The truck and car are making great progress - should be here mid to late afternoon. So a busy night ahead to prepare ourselves for its debut
So..tomorrow we should see it.

Keep on trucking Marussia!

I think everyone is interested to see if Marussia have somehow managed to come up with a good looking nose

It's promising that they take measures to prevent that somebody steals their ideas overnight

I know you were joking, but a car five seconds off the pace isn't going to be a five second slower version of the frontrunner. I bet Newey would of loved to dissect the HRT, just to see if there was any promising concepts he could work on.

looks fast.
That car has no nose... that's a good start

How does it smell?
Posted 30 January 2014 - 10:55
So, are they going to show anything but a car under hood without a nose.
Posted 30 January 2014 - 11:17
Marussia tweeted this yesterday. Looks like a new livery with more white?
Posted 30 January 2014 - 11:18
Orange and white?
Posted 30 January 2014 - 11:23
Orange and white?
I think that's just the flash.

Neat livery
Posted 30 January 2014 - 14:12
As I predicted they chose a simple keel nose solution. KISS principle. Sort out the pwer train gremlins and do your 'damage' in the first fly away races.

Alarmingly bare on sponsorship....
Posted 30 January 2014 - 14:14
The livery resembles Arrows.
Posted 30 January 2014 - 14:15
Elegant enough front end. Hard to get much detail around the sidepods due to the usage of black everywhere.
Posted 30 January 2014 - 14:16
I like it. Clean design, simple livery, though i'm not sure on the white. Looks about two decades ahead of the Caterham on this pic.

More like Midland IMO.
Posted 30 January 2014 - 14:18
Apart from the bulbous bow it looks quite nice. Neat livery and non-offensive lines.
Does look a bit simple though. Will be interesting to see how they do against the lego Caterham.
Posted 30 January 2014 - 14:19
Based on the number of corporate logos, I'm expecting Marussia having ceased operations before 2015. Shame.

In money or driving?
Either/or I suppose
Posted 30 January 2014 - 14:19
One of the nicest interpretations of the penis nose regs, but it also reinforces Adrian Newey's fear that cars will submarine/lever in collisions.

Nose reminds me of the Williams. Generally looks neat and tidy, if basic.

Does Marussia need sponsorship? How much is the Marussia company pumping into ti? If anything?
Posted 30 January 2014 - 14:21
Pretty small sidepods, especially compared against that Caterbrick:
Posted 30 January 2014 - 14:22
The paint job on the nose is very West McLaren Mercedes, which means, for that reason alone, I love it
Posted 30 January 2014 - 14:24
Marussia - Caterham : 1 - 0
Posted 30 January 2014 - 14:24
Neat looking car. Sleek nose and tight rear. Still less sophisticated than cars of established teams, but at least decent looking car.
Sadly, I have to say this puts capability of their immediate rival Caterham into serious question, unless they are doing it on purpose (attempt of prioritizing reliaiblity first then bringing competitive package rather soon, which I highly doubt).
