Before we begin, I'd like to clarify the rules a bit. In the game thread, Makarias asked if you can change your guess after the deadline. The answer is no, you cannot. The rule about late entries is there so that you can limit the damage from missing the deadline only. (Changing from 3 to 1 pit visits, as Makarias requested, would have made no difference anyway.) 

 

Here's how Daniil did over the weekend:

1. He completed 88 practice laps. (guess range: 50 to 75 laps, average 63.93)
2. He finished th in qualifying (guess range: 9th to 13th, average 11.07)
3. He set a time that was 0.8 seconds slower than pole (1:39.277 vs. 1:38.513) (guess range: 1.4 s to 2.1 s, average 1.73 s)
4. He finished the race in 14th place (guess range: 7th to 14th position, average 10.07)
5. His fastest lap was 1.2 seconds slower than the best (1:42.022 vs 1:40.896) (guess range: 1.2 s to 2.2 s, average 1.79 s)
6. He entered the pit lane twice (guess range: 1 to 3, average 2.00)

Daniil was all over the map this weekend. First he completed a huge number of practice laps, more than any of our previous target drivers. Then he had an excellent qualifying session, only to follow up with a pretty mediocre performance in the race. Needless to say, this resulted in another low scoring round for us.

 

Here are the points deductions for this round as usual:

1. 0.727 points/lap
2. 2.885 points/position
3. 18.88 points/second
4. 2.609 points/position
5. 17.56 points/second
6. 9.493 points/visit

Brawn BGP 001 wins again! kismet, improves keeps her title hopes alive with a second place and Grayson and M2000-5 can't decide who should take the final spot on the podium, so they both do.

kismet reduces the gap to wattoroos and I now strongly suspect the fight for the title is between these two, as Grayson in third is already 51 points behind. But don't forget, this game still has five rounds left.
