Hello,

i am new to this forum.

I am DUELITRIEMEZZO, architect in Italy. I am glad to be now a member of this forum and i hope i could help with all the documents i have (50s and 60s "the spokemen", 50s autosport, retroviseur etc...). Please ask, if i can help i will !

 

I am searching for the early giuletta's (pre 1956) stories.

And have learnt that HENRY WESSELLS III raced one of the first Giulietta sprint in the late 1955 and early 1956.

 

Here are the races:

 

17.9.1955:   WATKINS GLEN Catharine Cup, seventh place finish in G Production

 

16.10.1955: FAIRCHILD NATIONAL SCCA race: City of Hagerstown Race. fourth place finish in G Production.

 

20.5.1956:  NATIONAL CUMBERLAND SCCA race  fifth place finish in G Production

 

I have found some photos and informations on the web and books but nothing about chassis numbers or color of the car etc.

 

You help is welcome to complete this car history - thank you in advance.

Welcome to the forum.

 

A couple of photos at this link from 1955 Watkins Glen.  Type Wessells in the Search space.  I can't quite see the chassis number in the second photo:

I have already see this thread. In fact i am searching some official "connection" between what is suppose to be and what it is in fact (race entry form, any detailed result, photos etc.)

Thank you for help.

 

Too bad about the photo of the engine bay: the chassis number is on the other id plate, just near the one shown on photo!
