Hi there again,

Though I do not use this post often I read it every day. What a wealth of facts we have.

I am hoping someone has a 1947 Senior TT programme, I am trying to find #48 who was possibly on a Velo. Same race Peter Goodman #39 also on a Velo came home 3rd.

Thanks for the memories,

Roy

And, If you have an ebay account, there's one for sale here, 3 days left to run. I'm sure that if you messaged him very very nicely, he'd tell you who No. 48 was.

Hi Roy - long time! How are you?

As for 1947, #48 in the Senior was Bill Beevers on a 490 Norton - he finished 8th.

Peter Goodman, 3rd, was riding #69.

What else can I tell you?

Cheers, Larry D

Hi Gents.

Sincere thanks to you, all is well this end but most time taken by domestic duties.

Now HUMBLE PIE TIME. Finger trouble with the original postings, it should have read who rode #45.

I remember Bill Beevers in the 50/s at Mallory and Cadwell on his sidecar outfit. It is sad how racing in GB has deteriated, we now race for points not race positions. To get into GP's our young lads have to live in Spain, what a sacrifice their families have to bear. But it can be done, for example Brad Smith and Scott Redding

Please forgive me for wasting your. Thanks for the E-Bay info.

Roy

Hi Continental Circus ,

No 45 appears to be none other than Jock West!

Hope this helps

I have a pic of a Porcupine in the paddock with a detached rear chain; I wonder if Jock West pushed in to finish 14th (and last), can anyone confirm this?
