Sounds like just a lung contusion for DeAngelis. Not bad for nailing an armco or whatever he did.

MotoGP.com: "Alex underwent a CT scan and has been diagnosed with lung contusion after preliminary analysis, further checks revealed several rib fractures. A spinal CT scan revealed fractures to the T7-T8-T9 vertebrae, a body fracture to L4 and trasversal process fractures to T2,4 and 8.
More news as it comes."

Kinda figured. Sounds like no spinal injury though.

Alex de Angelis in fact has slight fracture to 5 vertebrae and 3 broken ribs. All signs positive though thankfully

A bizarre weekend this one for Moto GP, I cant get into a race on the other side of the world, I used to but I will be sitting this one out, a shame as I love Japan but its all bit too far away and on at stupid times for us Europeans!

Just buy the online package and watch it at convenient times.
I've been doing in since 2010 and it has worked perfectly.
You'll kick yourself if this becomes a pivotal race in the title fight and you miss it entirely.

Why on earth would I buy the online package for goodness sake? They make enough money out of people charging 10 million to host races thanks.
I dont really care enough to sit up all night and to start paying to watch any sport.

Well, if you guys say so.
I have never watched and liked MotoGP as much as I do now and a lot of it is due to my online subscription.
So, De Angelis... What a motherfvcking crash.
I hope he recovers, but I expect it to take a very long time for him to race again. If he ever does.
I'm kind of glad there were no replays of his crash.

Hoping for a full recover, that was a terrible impact with the barriers by the look of it.
Meanwhile, weather update:

I think we'll see a dry battle between Jorge & Vale.

I suppose motogp onine depends on how much you love it all.
For me as you all know the current era is alcking in rider personalities and the bikes are really rather uninteresting. Too much electronics, too little rider input compared to the older days. I know thats typical but unless you saw it its hard to compare.
There are no real nasty rivalries like Roberts/Spencer, Lawson/Gardner, Schwatnz/Rainey or even Rossi/Biaggi and the results are fairly predictable. And sadly the sport is dominated by one country that spends most of its GDP on bike racing it seems to the detriment of its people!
Their product is good though I will admit that, it just for me, is not worth it.
But compared to F1 they do a superb job of making something out of nothing and charging people the earth for it, so genius salesmen!!
Can oyu imagine if Dorna did the same for F1, they would be maing a damned fortune from all the F1 geeks paying up to watch all this stuff

Off-topic, seing how F1 sucks currently. I'd purchase a subscription only if it came with archive footage and full races dating back to at least 1980 so I could watch the turbo era and all of the 80s. The archive footage in MotoGP is terrific, I love rewatching some of most exciting 250cc races.
On topic, it's raining at Motegi now, apparently, but there's time for it to dry.
If it rains hard enough maybe even the Ducatis can fight for the win.

Maybe next year we can share a subscription.

To be fair Atreiu I have a lot of the races from the golden era on VHS and DVD so although some of them I have not seen I have a lot of them already.
They did a few years back do an off season pass for about 4 months that was only 10 Euros and I enjoyed that, watched a load of ols 125 and 250 races, but even that now is about 25 Euros which is a bit of a mickey take when you think you can't watch much testing or racing.
I think you could really open things up with both F1 and MotoGP, I would subscrice a few Euros a month to watch news or archive footage, but there is only one option, and that is to watch everything. All ot nothing which is a shame.

Yes, those are not career ending but if they have to fuse any of them he'll have flexibility issues that could hamper him quite a bit.
Moto3 WUP delayed for weather. It doesn't look that wet but it is misty, probably visibility issues for the heli.

Interesting session. There seemed to be nothing between Pedrosa, Loreno and Rossi as they consistently improved their times and were quite matched by the end.
It does seem there is a lot less fog and the rain has basically stopped.

MM down the order a bit.
Would not be surprised to see him bin it again thus weekend.
Don't think the Honda is at the level of Yamahas, but MM will try and make it fit.

Rossi just keeps finding some way to stay in it. I've always believed Lorenzo is going to overcome him, but I'm allowing myself to believe that Rossi can actually pull it off. He's getting closer.
A title after so long, at this age, against these opponents, after being written off years ago.
Strongest headset I've seen in sport.
3 to go.

Dani gained almost 15 sec on the Yamaha's in the last 10 laps or so....seemed like a washed up rider this year but his last 2 races have been great. The last 3 races would be amazing with MM and Dani in the mix.

No matter what happens in the end, Rossi has already made history. After his injury and his disastrous stint with Ducati, he had the courage to come back and fight like he has never done before.

For those with short memories, Pedrosa was astonishing at Sachsenring a few years ago in the wet, literally rode away from the field, but a ltitle too fast and really hurt himself, possibly where his injury streak started.
He, like lots of guys from Spain and Italy, Rossi included was awful in the wet originally, ut have learned to ride superbly in the damp and wet.
Fair play to anyone in Europe who got up, you are proper geeks!!

Would be interesting to see how Marquez deals with this dip in form. This is the time he will be tested to the max. Pedrosa simply blew him away. It was kind of embarrassing for Marquez in that he was not even in for a fight in this race. Kudos to Pedrosa for winning again after going through the horror of multiple arm pump surgeries.

I think MM was hampered a bit by the injury to his left hand (if a remember correctly)

Update 11/10/2015: MotoGP rider Alex De Angelis underwent further medical checks on Sunday morning at Dokkyo Medical University Hospital. An MRI was performed, showing an intracranial bleeding. However, this has to be better evaluated, and the rider will undergo a neurosurgical evaluation later on. Dr. Michele Zasa from Clinica Mobile is going to stay with the rider for the next few days, in order to follow the clinical evolution of the patient.
