No, and his info is wrong. They are planning to test the Honda engine in the after season tests in Abu Dhabi.

They are planning to bring a modified aero concept to the car to test in FP1, which is influenced by next years developments. If this package improves the current car they may well run it throughout the weekend, but either way should give us a hint to what to expect from next years car.

Ted kravitz said in the post race chat that they're bringing a car designed around next years concept to Friday practice. Button apparently said that if it goes as they're predicting it could put them up with the Williams. Mods. Lock if you like but kravitz was categorical that the car would be used on Friday and may well be raced. I'm only going by what I saw on TV just now.

Kravitz called it a 'B spec' car, not sure if McLaren themselves see it as such.

Once we have something to see and talk about (whether it be FP1 in Abu Dhabi) then the thread can be reopened.
