British series is on its last legs after a merger with the German series failed to eventuate.

The slow death is partly because of the competition from Formula Renault/GP3 and partly because everyone wants to race F3 on F1 tracks in europe for experience. Hence why the Euro series is gaining serious traction, and the Spanish Euroformula Open maintains a healthy grid.

I think a restructure needs to take place in F3 following the NEC-ALPS model established in Formula Renault. Cheaper running costs and more F1 tracks are what is needed. Will also provide a natural pathway for all the new F4 racers.

Outside Europe. Pedro Piquet, son of Nelson "Lewis where is your girlfriend at?" Piquet (3 time world champion), has dominated the Brazilian F3 and will likely move to the euro series next season.

The Australian series keeps ticking along, although long term survival is far from assured. They race at Bathurst which is cool: https://www.youtube....h?v=4f8-zJr_NbU

Discuss.

Japan is top tier, they're the only other series running current spec cars and engines, and TOM's is certianly no pushover at Macau when they race against the Euro teams.

British F3 is dead.

I wonder why there is no European team who takes the Toyota engines from Japanese F3 for example.

I heard rumours about Honda joining F3 European Series in 2015.
