As the season draws towards its conclusion, what can we expect for next season's liveries?

I'm assuming that Ferrari, Red Bull, Scuderia Toro Rosso and possibly Williams will keep liveries similar to those of their '14 campaigns.

Will McLaren be the biggest change on the grid or will they keep their silver and black style?  And what of Sauber, will the sponsorships that their new drivers bring dominate their look?

I reckon McLaren will be chrome and red - more red than the Vodafone days.

To answer your question, I've no idea.

But I do wish teams would make a bigger effort with their liveries. We've seen just on this forum that several posters could do an awful lot better job compared to the liveries we have this year. Sauber and McLaren are particularly dire this season...

Wait ...

Does Jovanotti or Luca know you've stolen their thread?

Just a few of the wonderful creations from our lovely and talented posters who kept us all salivating like Pavlov's dog

I'm hoping mclaren change things up next year. The chrome has been pretty boring of late. Too corporate - but then that's mclaren nowadays. If I wanted a dose of corporate every other Sunday I'd head into work and get paid for it.

I would hope that McLaren want to make the biggest impact they can with their new Honda link-up so I'd expect something radically different. The current theme with a Honda logo slapped on just won't cut it. Will also depend if they can actually find a sponsor too!

I think Sauber will reflect their new position in the F1 field and tie a piece of cardboard around the airbox that reads "will race for food"

No chance of confusion here, there's not been a single lesbian website mentioned.  Or Bruce Forsythe for that matter...

I think McLaren will run a livery similar to the Vodafone livery.

Except the silver will be substituted for white, the Vodafone red/pink? will be rising sun (Japan) red.

Ye, I personally really hope that Mclaren would change that livery....I mean not just because they are changing the engine, but also because overall its a new start/new beginning for Mclaren, and sometimes is good to change your logo or livery or whatever and what more perfect time to do that, than in 2015, with new Honda engines and their new leading driver Alonso. Also without a doubt there will be new sponsors next year, and I have a feeling that this year's livery was just that kind of "temporary" solution, so ye, I expect Mclaren to look quite different next year atleast as far as the livery goes and I'll be quite disappointed if they would continue with the old silver as their main livery.

If they keep button next year for his final year in F1 it would be nice to see a pink and white/orange liverie

I think McLaren should only run the White/Red if they are confident the car is deserving of the livery.

McLaren grey. Tarmac grey.

Sauber grey. Tarmac grey.

Mercedes grey. Tarmac grey.

Red Bull. Red Bull.

Torro Rosso. Red Bull.

2014 has the most boring grid in the history of the sport.

Lets at least see the Sauber painted in Chelski blue for 2015.

Looks like I'll have to open the Competition-thread earlier this year so you guys don't get to unload yourself around here before.

I think more black on the Ferrari would be good. I saw a really good potential livery on this forum for the 2014 car with that.

McLaren will surely do a lot better than what they produced for this season.

I'd love it if Ferrari go back to the black front and rear endplates.

Yeah I think that is what the 2014 potential that I saw on here was like.

I quite liked their 2007-2009 livery too.

THIS!!! Absolutely STAGGERS me that with all the money these people have the whole image thing, that we have half the field in tarmac grey. It's beyond stupid, just shake my head every time I see a race.

I completely agree. Its like all the colour has drained out of F1. Back in the early 00's you had colour up and down the grid. Each team was recognisable on colour alone. Now everyone has the same livery, a shade of grey, white, dark blue or black. Half the time when they show a car from an aerial shot or a shot at distance its hard to tell which car you are looking at. I miss seeing the flash of yellow and instantly knowing it was a Jordan. Or seeing the light blue on the Renaults. Strange time we live in.

They are so afraid to chase away any potential sponsors who have a different house colour that they just drive with a dull white/grey canvas.

The current Sauber logo is red, but do they really have a their own colour scheme? There was the Red Bull era, and then the BMW blue and white, but what look says "traditional Sauber"

Traditional Sauber for me says plain black.  Probably thinking firstly of the very dark blue Kouros and AEG sportcars and then the F1 debut black '93 car.

Interesting to see the McLaren test car with the Honda engine, The sap colors are orange, probably a hint of the 2015 livery.

^That could jsut be down to the new logo for SAP though.

However, I'd love to see them go for an orange and chrome combo. Tradition meets modern (so long as its done right!)

SAP colors are orange because orange is the new blue in SAP world. Meaning, SAP changed it color to orange, check www.sap.com

Anything but the chrome/silver. It's so bloody dated now
