With Red Bull hastily confirming Daniil Kvyat alongside Daniel Ricciardo for 2015 - to create a new era without four-time world champion, Sebastian Vettel - I thought it was only fitting to start a thread for 2015 and to make a few predictions (apologies if this thread has been posted too early).
Another F1 nut and myself wrote a piece on the likely match-up, We've looked in detail about how each of them have stacked up against JEV (and bearing in mind some caveats) have reached a few conclusions.
Our predictions are that:
- Ricciardo is likely to have around 1-2 tenths advantage in qualifying on average
- Ricciardo’s experience and status within the team will give him a clear advantage in the races, Kvyat to close the gap and trouble occasionally by the end of the season
Kvyat is clearly talented but definitely not the finished article so it could be a tough start to the season. What do you think?
