I can't find the part where someone asked if Alonso would want Button as teammate :well:

Love the eye expression that JB makes when Nico answers the question about how to keep the race clean at 10:00 minutes through the clip....

What exact time?

Can't see it.

Look at them pissing themselves about the question and interviewer on the 27th minute :rotfl:

Absolutely love Seb's sense of humour. Hopefully his petulance will mellow over time.

Seb has the best sense of humour of any F1 modern driver.

His so-called petulance does not bother me one bit.

Yeah, saw that. Not sure if Jenson was shocked he actually said that to the press or shocked that Nico thinks Lewis has been the dirtier driver between the two of them over the season.

Jenson has three seasons of racing closely with Lewis and has always spoke in glowing terms of their time together, so perhaps he's surprised at how silly Rosberg can sound when talking about racing against Lewis.

When JB and Lewis fought on track, it was high-quality, hard but fair stuff... Rosberg has looked clumsy around Lewis practically every time they've been close...

Mind games from Nico, very transparent though. Funny to see JBs reaction to what I'm sure he thought was a bit of silliness from Nico.

I think it's safe to say that whatever you think about the double points insanity, it has definitely brought more excitement to the final few races of the season. Otherwise Hamilton would've had the the championship pretty much safely in the bag already after Austin.

Even better than that  if Lewis comes third after a bottle of Timotei is found lodged in his cars suspension the forum will go into melt down mode,  followed by the entire internet the same and Hamilton's dog will get an attack of asthma which will lead to a 14 day webcast  vigil which trends on twitter.

I'm really looking forward to it.

THE LIVE FORUM WILL BE  A ROCKIN WITH  PEOPLE GETTING TOO EXCITED, ENCOURAGED BY THE WHIFF OF FRIED BACON HANGING IN THE AIR.

I've already bought mine. Sainsbury's did a 2 for 1 on their Taste the difference range. So the big question is  prime or options?  Prime being brown sauce and options being ketchup.  Brown or red?

We might even talk about whats happening on track.

Buttons reaction when Nico says Lewis needs to drive cleanly! Priceless!

Just the way that Jeson acted through the press conference was funny but sad. I really do get the feeling he is without a team, which is a massive shame when firstly he has dominated his team mate this year and secondly looking at some of the people who are no where near as good. Even in the top teams (looking at Kimi in particular).

Well, having contemplated this over the last few days I've come to the decision that simply because I strongly disagree with double points, I would be a hypocrite to watch the race.  So my season is over and I will not be watching the race, nor practice nor qually.

I would just like to have my 2 penneth, I believe its been an okay to poor season, mainly because of the total domination by Merc, yes I disliked RBR dominating too but even their domination wasn't quite so mind blowing as Mercedes has been.  I hope next season a team or two will get close enough to compete with them and challenge them from time to time, even if Merc end up WDC again.

on the drivers, well I really am not a fan of Lewis or Nico but wish them both the best and I hope they put on a good show for you all and you finally get some much needed wheel to wheel action from them that lasts more than a couple of seconds.  I really cannot see Nico winning the WDC but good on him if he did, Lewis I believe has it 99% in the bag and only a mechanical/electrical DNF could steal the title from him.

I believe either driver would be deserving champions, enjoy the race and roll on 2015!!

How Kimi and Massa have safe seats at good teams whilst JB is staring at the exit door is beyond me...

Because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I think he presumed he will have his seat at McLaren for another 2-3 years and didnt realize what was happening until it was too late and all other seats in F1 had been taken.

While I'd love to see a titanic battle (nerves depending) on Sunday - a real demonstration of sporting greatness, with Lewis coming out on top as the deserved Champion, I think it would perhaps be fitting to see Rosberg have a really erratic weekend, qualyfing behind the Williams' and having a poor race while Lewis serenely strides off in the distance to his second WDC. The gulf in class between the two has been evident this season and only the dominance of the Mercedes and some unreliability for Lewis has kept Rosberg in the battle this long.

Absolutely. JB would do a fine job, and entertain at Ferrari or Williams. The resurgent Williams and JB would be a perfect fit. By employing Massa, Williams are throwing away points and money every race, especially when a superior driver, and much more likeable personality like JB is available.

Yeah but wont JB have to lower his price tag by a lot to drive for Williams? The reason Williams have the drivers they do is because I assumed they are on a tight budget.

I thought they both look like they are bricking it, each in their own way. It would be nice if for once, someone responded with a huge, clutch performance in a title decider, the way Massa did in '08 or Vettel in '10. In recent years most of them have been unconvincing -- Lewis and Alonso in '07 (and Kimi needed help), Button in '09, Alonso and Webber in '10, and Vettel and Alonso both in '12. It's fair to say that with the car advantage Mercedes has, if both finish, anything less than a 1-2 is a choke by somebody.

I think you are right on this RubalSher . Looks like Jenson thought if he beat his new teammate this season , his position would be safe . Only too late the trap was sprung on him . I think he made mistake being loyal to McLaren . Don't think the current management would have kept him what ever he did on track , as he's sadly become a mere pawn in somebody else's game .  If the big guys in F1 are happy to see a driver and person of Jensons quality end up without a proper drive then they deserve to fail . F1 is losing its appeal rapidly for me , I don't like the way its going now .       ( Jenson does seem to have spent too many years in the wrong places at the wrong time )

I agree mostly. He didn't see the Alonso situation coming down the tracks. However, I don't think loyal is the right word. It was a mutually beneficial arrangement which was the best scenario available to him at the times he made his commitments. All commitments have been honoured and the contract has run its course. He wasn't promised a new deal, and to my knowledge he didn't turn anything else down thinking McLaren would keep him.

What about last year and the year before when Kimi beat Button significantly despite Button being in a car that should have won the championship?

I like Button and want him to stay in F1 but there is no need to slate other world champions position in the sport. (Not referring to you specifically) All the champs have a place in our sport.

Really excited to see the final races of Vettel and Alonso at their teams. I will be looking forward to hearing their final radio messages after the race. I hope coverage of that does not get overshadowed by whoever wins the championship.

Really,2013...?And in 2012 that "significantly" is 207-188,between them Hamilton with 190.Of course the Mclaren was faster, but the team made lot of mistakes. But this is really OT.

Last year the McLaren was nowhere near championship challenging, and in 2012 Jenson only finished 19 points behind Raikkonen, which I wouldn't call significant at any stretch, especially when you consider that Button had that period early in the season where he was getting nowhere due to what McLaren admit were issues on the engineering side. More significant is the gap between them right now in this year, and the visible tail-off Raikkonen has made in performance over the last 18 months.

At least JB has found the right team for one year and hence won the WDC, Massa is still searching that team ( or that few seconds in the final race.  )

Still undecided on what has shocked me the most on this thread. Lewis’s pants (and it looks as if he’s badly trying to cover them up with his shirt), or people putting sauce on fried bacon.

Oh, and thanks Jenson for the kind reminder – yet another one - on the paddock’s shared feelings w.r.t. Monaco.
