Yep, the Bild got trolled. The real Ferrari account did hint at announcing something soon though.

No official #vettel @InsideFerrari announcement yet. German press agency followed a fake account... Still it will be true ;)

I'm so happy to finally read this. Kimi-Seb pairing have always been my dream team and it's actually happening. So happy for next year!

It's all happening today
It's going to be exciting to see Vettel in a Ferrari
#11
Posted 20 November 2014 - 10:39
This will be my favourite line up of all time
Hopefully Ferrari are able to improve and deliver Seb or Kimi what they could not do with Alonso.

:clap:Truly looking forward to next season. Two of my favorite drivers in a same team (and Valtteri in a highly competitive team) means that 2015 will most likely be epic. Hopefully SF will raise their game in a big way and that we'll get at least four teams fighting for the wins.

Who's this Vettel guy then, and how much is he paying?..

In my opinion the two most overrated drivers ever (Vettel-Raikkonen) in the most overrated team ever (Ferrari). A perfect formula, good luck to Seb he will need it.

Now let's see if Seb can beat Kimi....I'm serious.
Well, if he doesn't beat him it will be devastating for his reputation that has already been damaged by Ricciardo this year.

My gut reaction is disappointment not so much for Vettel's signing as for Raikkonen staying one more year. But I 'll reserve judgement till March...

Good luck to Vettel. Always adds a bit of interest when the top drivers move teams, although Kimi's lack of form this season does dampen my enthusiasm a bit for what should otherwise be an excellent driver pairing (same as Alonso and Kimi should have been...).

Finally this saga comes to an end. It seems to me Ferrari got fed up of waiting for McLaren announcment.
Good luck to Sebastian. Im sure he will be the champ with Scuderia some day. He has much more time than Alonso.

Welcome Sebastian.
Thank you for everything Fernando.
Ferrari, please design a proper racecar now, the problem isn't the driver.

Now we just need for Bernie to push things so the good ol boy of his gets a car with a more decent engine.
Happy with the outcome. Do have a soft spot for Seb, he has always loved and dreamed about driving for this team and he has proven that he has got what it takes to get a a title. Good luck and have fun Seb

Sad to see Alonso go from "my" team. Albeit it was pretty clear since a long time, it's so definitive now.
I certainly hope Kimi will be at least on par with Vettel, especially if the car is competitive.
But good luck to both.

Vettel or Kimi.. they both have their reputation at stake even more than they did this year, both coming from a severe whipping from their team-mates. Vettel's in particular if he gets beaten by a Kimi who got thrashed by Alonso this year. Kimi... well, there will always be those saying Vettel is the no.1 driver etc etc.. I think Vettel has more to lose in this confrontation.

Welcome to the Scuderia Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel! The Scuderia hope that Kimi and you will bring those few percent of performance that were lacking during the Alonso years. The Scuderia made a mistake under Luca to put all the eggs in one basket and the Scuderia now know that the two you will have a better chance of improving the next package together. May it take the time it will take, the Scuderia is in no hurry to get everything on track once again. But the Scuderia has 100% faith in you and Kimi. This opens up a new era for Ferrari and the Scuderia will not look back at its past mistakes.

I'm going to enjoy Ferrari fighting for the midfield WCC positions next year and Lewis winning the titles.
It was only Ferrari that really gave Vettel a challenge in his WDC years with Fernando but that won't happen now. Ferrari won't win anything for a while in my opinion

I hope for Seb's sake that Ferrari can do a much better job than they have for the past four years.
I find it amazing with all the money and resources that Ferrari have available to them that they can be so consistently average. It's a poisoned chalice, really. I don't understand drivers' desires to race with Ferrari, particularly after the last few years, but of course, the majority of us thought Hamilton moving to Merc was a bad move, and look how that has turned out...
Best of luck to Vettel. Maybe it'll be the fresh start he needs to get back to winning ways.

The only people who care about that kind of logic are fans.
Delighted to have these two in the same team. Pity it's Ferrari, as I think that Red Bull is a better environment, but you can't have everything.
Let's hope that Mr Allison stopped work on the FI4T very early on to concentrate on the 2015 car!
