Ok, the final race is now done – congratulations to Lewis Hamilton, 2014 F1 World Champion !
Now, to more important stuff, like the 2014 Guess the Podium Championship. For the first time in ages (or, probably, this year overall), more people picked Rosberg for the win than Hamilton, but it wasn’t to be. This made things quite interesting, and produced variable results. The round was won by those who picked Hamilton and Bottas at the right place – congratulations to Acuraf1, Costaz, DaddyCool, Fastcake, m2000-5, and mark f1 for winning the Abu Dhabi round :

In the overall standings, things were really tight; DaddyCool made a good final push, but he was still a bit short to win the thing – though he did overtake Makarias for P2, who now shares P3 with m2000-5! As a result, jjcale is crowned as the 2014 Guess the Podium Champion – congratulations !!!! .

Thank you all for taking part in the game, I thought it was quite fun this year, and quite unpredictable to see which Mercedes will end up at which podium spot, or which one will retire… The poor place of the two bots is telling, I think. Let’s hope that next year another team (or more!) will also be in the play too!
See you in March 2015 – according to the front page ticker, it’s 110 days, 18 hours, 32 minutes and 37 seconds before the Australian GP, surely it’s too early for the withdrawal syndrome to kick in!
