Pictures and story are taken from "Racecar Engineering" magazine.
The "Manor MNR1" car is the natural evolution of the 2014 model, with a much lower front-end and a Ferrari F14T's like rear wing.
In the pictures we can see a wind-tunnel scaled model.

Unfortunately, this car risks to never be on a grid due to the financial crysis of the team.

Great to see that they could run next year if things work out for them. Although I'm sure they won't be chuffed that its been published.

Car looks great, really hope it gets to run. Sad to see cars in their infancy, a la the 2010 Toyota, never make it.

on the contrary, I am sure they will be. "Hey investors, look we have a 2015 car, we 're not just hot air" ;)

Who knows, a potential buyer can see that they have had a good progress on the 2015 car.

As the article reproduced on the Formulapassion website makes clear, the photos are of a wind tunnel scale model not an actual car. Manor are still some way off having something to race with next year - assuming that they can find a buyer with the funds necessary to translate the model into reality. Here's hoping they do.

Is the nose indicative of the '15 spec? I suppose it is a bit better than this seasons "anteaters".

I grew to like the pen-, sorry, anteaters. It was something that made pretty much every car unique; its been a long time since we could say that.

Then again you could say the same about 2009. A few years down the line and they all looked the same again.

I'm not sure how much the regulations are changing next year. Would it be possible to run a 2014 chassis with a 2015 nose and bodywork?

Presumably. I'm not aware of any other technical changes beyond raising the minimum weight.

I thought that the new nose regulations were tailored-made specifically to get rid of the ugly ducklings. Yet, Manor 2015 concept still has a drooping noise. I take it the regs are still contradictory and this concept is actually within the rules?

God damn it, what does it take to actually make one rule interdicting these strange frontal appendices?

Now back to topic, nice idea of leaking these photos. When the going gets tough, might as well try everything once.

I actually think that car looks reasonably good. The nose is far more subtle and less awkward than what we have seen this year.

Yes its a wind tunnel model but its progress... I would be surprised if any team had a 2015 car ready made in carbon fibre...

I think the Marussia name is dead, if they aren't paying then they've no reason to keep naming the team after them I suppose, unless either a) there's something around the actual ownership of the team, or b) a quirk of the entry rules forces them to do so like that horrible "BMW Sauber Ferrari" thing in 2010.

Of course either of the above would be very much a good problem, like you I just hope to see them back on the grid next year. Fingers crossed!

I think showings the world a wind tunnel ready scale model is all about telling potential investors they are not all hot air and toasters

Better than nothing, I guess :) . It's now Caterham's turn to show up what they have lined up for next year.

Excuse me, but isn't that just the 2014 model with some kind of "low" nose haphazardly bolted on?  The nose doesn't even seem to fit properly if you look closely.

A look at photos of this years car says otherwise.

Note where the pushrod enters the chassis. There is a lumpy bit to make clearnce for the internal rocker assembly that isnt on the 2014 car.

The position of the camera is different. Much lower on the wind tunnel model.

The relative positions of the steering arm and the upper front wishbone where they enter the chassis is also slightly different. On the 2014 car they're directly above/below each other, but on the model you can see the steering arm is located more forward.
