I think V8SC management are out of their minds.
April fools joke?
First banning the drivers from racing in the Bathurst 12hour, now this... What's wrong with them?

As a fan of racing videogames and chaos in general I think this is a great idea.
Didn't the original Forza let you run Bathurst in both directions?

Nah, Bathurst wasn't in the original Forza, only a track a little similar to it. You can run Bathurst backwards in GRID 2 and GRID Autosport, however. V8SC Management must be abusing certain substances....

In bold, in the heading 01/04/14.

Good pick ip Wili.
I would question if it were even feasible. The safety faetures, like gravel traps and barriers, are set up for forward direction only. Reverse would need a safety review.

Here's a hotlap of Bathurst in reverse, looks quite decent, obviously:

The esses hillclimb is fun, but nowhere near as good as the mountain straight hillclimb

If only it were true!

That really should have been enoughIn bold, in the heading 01/04/14.

when i did my advanced driver training course at amaroo (a loooooooooooooooong time ago, obviously) we lapped it in reverse, which was counterclockwise. some weird cambers. re bathurst: the cutting would be almost impossible, surely!

Always found learning tracks in reverse often meant discounting what you already knew and starting again. Most corners, especially linked ones or those with varying radii, often require completely different lines.
The approach to Forest's Elbow and The Cutting are going to be extremely fast with no run off. Safety concerns?
