Monsieur F1 (yes, I know he's unreliable) is reporting that Zoran Stefanović will soon finalise a deal with Marussia to take them over. To make the story even less believable, he also says Robert Kubica will return behind the wheel of a Formula One car for the winter test in January. He also posted a crude mockup of how the car will look.

Now, you might remember Stefan GP from their previous attempts to enter F1:
- applying for the spot opened by FIA for 2015/2016 (eventually awarded to Haas and Forza Rossa);
- trying to take over Marussia in early 2014 and get Rubens to drive;
- applying for the 2011 spot vacated by USF1;
- buying the Toyota TF110 chassis in 2010, trying to take over their entry, and get Kazuki Nakajima to drive (with Villeneuve, Ralf Schumacher, Maldonado, Klien, Karthikeyan and Chandhok also in the frame);
- applying for one of the three spots opened by FIA for 2010 (eventually awarded to USF1, Campos and Manor);
- attempting to take over MasterCard Lola in 1997;
- attempting to enter outright in 1996;
- attempting to enter with a joint Yugoslav-British project in 1988 and get Damon Hill to drive;
- probably some others that I forgot to mention.
Although this will obviously not happen, I would love to see Stefanović succeed for once (even if the team would fold soon after) and then see a biopic about his many attempts. The story has Oscar material written all over it. I mean, he's been at it for nearly 30 years now, that's more than most of the faces you see in Formula One nowadays!
