F3000: does anyone know which year it switched manual H gear to sequential transmission? I know it was sometime during the 1990s but can't remember when; I am trying to do some research on how it affected lap speeds and driving performance.

IIRC in 1993 Reynard switched from the H-pattern to the sequential gearbox.
Some drivers (Pedro Lamy for example) raced an updated Reynard 92D with an sequential gearbox.
Not sure when/if Lola introduced the sequential shift to their cars.
