I'm the owner of a 1950 Jagzar XK120 TS (670501) which was delivered to Max Hoffmann, NY. in 1950.

End of the 60's Alan G. Boring, at that time President of the Jaguar Affiliates Group Michigan bought the 670501 from a "lady racer" having done speed trials on Florida beaches at Daytona.

Because of the "fleshy" colour the car was called "The Shrimp". According to Alan the lady's husband was having fun in the pits while his wife was racing!

At time of transaction (end of the 60's) the lady was resident of the Detroit area.

So far I failed to identify this "lady racer" although I tried really hard. I think a lady racing a XK with that rather unique colour scheme must have been quite striking in those days.

Has somebody an idea?

Just for info: in 1978 the car was exported to the UK by Gordon Keller, CA. and Ken Dalziel did manage the restoration for gentleman racer Ben Huisman, NL.

Thanks

Wolfgang
