Happy New year to the users of this forum. This is the battle I am looking forward to follow this year. Kimi have at least been on top when he and Sebastian have playde badminton.

I am looking forward to this one! They are both good at drinking and sometimes at driving. This could be the mediocre Ferrari that the sport needed.

If they are closely matched, it will be safe to assume that they are both on top form.

If they are closely matched, it will be safe to assume that they are both on top form.

Or they could just be similarly under performing. I'm not necessarily convinced that either are significantly better than their 2014 form, I wouldn't say either had 'the form of their life'. But Raikkonen and Massa were evenly matched in their time together and Alonso both substantially outperformed both Massa and Raikkonen so its consistent.

As for their form relative to each other. Ill give Vettel the nod in qualifying and Raikkonen the nod in races based on absolutely nothing at all. This could go either way, they're both drivers that looked strong relative to some team mates but looked very weak relative to others.

I suspect regardless of what happens questions of what Alonso or Ricciardo could achieve given the same opportunity will remain.

Depends on whether Kimi gets the front end he wants and if Pirelli improve the grip of the tires, if he does get what he needs from the car then Vettel will have his hands full. If not, I can see Vettel having his way in much the same way as Alonso but not as dominant in terms of gap between the two.

I'm expecting a Vettel overall in both qualifying/race at this stage.

Let's compare who is more blonde, probably the only real data we have of both driving a Ferrari. :smoking:

Pretty much.

As every season, please wait until there's driving to discuss before starting the 'vs' threads.
