I expected they would have more than 2 TV cameras around the track to be honest. It kind of works because of the nature of the circuit, but it's hard to differentiate one car from another given the distances.

Usually I'm super excited for 24 Hours endurance racing, but Dubai? Meh, I'll pass.

Doesn't this race have really stupid rules where if you go too fast you get penalised?

Depends on class. The quickest GT3 cars can take a refuelling/weight penalty in exchange for running unrestricted on laptimes, the slower GT3 cars have a bracket time that they can go faster than 10 times during the race, the other classes have the bracket time and cannot break it. It's to prevent teams in smaller classes from hiring a bunch of pros and demolishing the class, since apart from GT3 this is still an amateur-oriented event.

I've been completely usurped by the events in Paris today so my focus on the race has been very low. But NOW however I will settle with Motors TV for the evening.

Thanks for that. Crappy way of doing it though.
